In the office, there were only Serena Sullivan and Ethan Grant. After closing the door, silence was all that remained between them.

However, as it settled on the beautiful face on the glass, the chilling intent suddenly dissipated, transforming into strands of melancholy.
The office door was knocked open, Yvette Sterling came in, seeing one standing by the window, the other seated at the desk, and felt the atmosphere was somewhat strange, "Sir, I’ve brought the stuff."
After handing the contract to Ethan Grant, Yvette Sterling looked at his own boss with uneasy glances before leaving.
Ethan Grant walked over next to Serena, placing the contract on the desk. Serena looked over in confusion, seeing black letters at the top of the first page — this was her personnel contract with The Grant Corporation.

While flipping to the third page, Ethan Grant’s large hand pressed on the top of the contract, refusing to let Serena continue turning pages. He smirked disdainfully, retorting, "Serena, there are plenty who want this position."
Retaking the contract, Ethan Grant directly flipped to the last page, pointing to the signature spot, saying, "I don’t have time to waste here with you!"
Serena gripped the pen, gazing at the blank signature area. For some reason, she had the urge to finish reading the contract.
Ethan Grant impatiently raised his voice, "Everyone’s contract is identical. Either sign it or get lost."
Looking at the big red stamp of The Grant Corporation below, Serena tightened her grip on the pen, signing her name there slowly and carefully.
Sign it, she thought. As a disabled person, there wasn’t anything she had that Ethan Grant could scheme over!
Now, it seemed even her life wasn’t worth much anymore.
Once the contract was signed, Ethan Grant directly pulled it away from her hand, not allowing Serena to review it.
