When they got out of the elevator, Fang Zhengdong spoke, “The boss is in a meeting, Miss Xia, you can wait for her in the rest area.”
Xia Yangyang waited in the rest area for a long time.
During this time, people served her tea and water, but Gu Qichen did not appear.

And there he was, idiotically staring at the woman on the screen.

Fang Zhengdong really thought the boss was acting unlike himself.

Now that she was right there, he chose to keep her out.
And yet, he was secretly watching her every move.
Fang Zhengdong walked in, reminding him one final time, “Boss, Miss Xia has not had lunch yet.”
Gu Qichen, seeing Fang Zhengdong come in, quickly closed his notebook.
He then coldly said, “Send her some food. Make a reservation at Yun Ding Restaurant, I’ll give you the menu later.”
Was the boss still not going to meet Miss Xia?
Was he determined to wear her out this way?
Fang Zhengdong remembered that Miss Xia’s favorite restaurant four years ago was Yun Ding.
The boss still remembered her preferences, and even the dishes she liked.
Why won’t he agree to meet her and have a proper talk?

Just when he was leaving, the junior secretary Aike came to report, “Miss Xia just left the meeting room.”
