As the words “re-marry” left Gu Qichen’s lips, Xia Yangyang was immediately taken aback.

He spoke to Xia Yangyang, “Consider my proposal.”
Xia Yangyang laughed, lifting her head, “Re-marry? What about Xi Zijun? Weren’t you going to get engaged to her today?”
“I will cancel the engagement. I’ll take care of everything else.”
Xia Yangyang’s laughter was tinged with irony, “You can cancel the engagement at any time, but can feelings also be so capricious?”
Xia Yangyang stared into Gu Qichen’s eyes, her lips curled into a pronounced arc, “Gu Qichen, ever since my return to the country, I have heard countless rumors about your notorious debauchery as Young Master Gu. I never quite believed it, but I didn’t expect you to really become such a person.”

The two once again fell into a silent standoff, neither willing to concede.
