The interview ended swiftly.

Xia Yangyang cut in: “A journalist should maintain basic professional ethics. We’re not paparazzi. Those private rumors are not what we should focus on. Anyway, the interview is done. If the station director wants to blame me for changing the script without permission, then so be it.”

Lin Yuanyuan suddenly shouted at her back, “Yangyang, don’t you think I was helping you? You’re well aware of the relationship between Zhang Xinyi and Gu Qichen. Lin Yuanyuan approached Xia Yangyang, testing her with a statement. “I assume you and Gu Qichen have reconciled by now, but even though, don’t forget, you are not Mrs. Gu anymore. There are other women around Gu Qichen now. What I’m doing can help you eliminate your competition. Why are you not appreciating my kindness?”
Xia Yangyang turned around: “If two people do not share the same principles, they cannot plan together. My professional ideology is fundamentally different from the director’s. Therefore, we have nothing to say to each other. I hope the director will turn a blind eye to my affairs in the future. I just returned to China and I don’t want to make enemies with anyone. However, if the director continues to challenge my bottom line. I won’t sit around and do nothing. I can let go of the incident concerning the press card. But if it happens again, I will expose Director Lin’s character to everyone at TV Station. You’re the young lady from the Lin Family, one of the Four Famous Ladies, you shouldn’t always resort to such lowly means. It’s beneath your status.”
Having said that, Xia Yangyang left.
Lin Yuanyuan frowned furiously at Xia Yangyang’s retreating figure.
