Cyrus’s narrow eyes remained calm, his expression unchanged. He simply picked up the ice water on the table, twisted it open, and took a few gulps.
Seeing his silence, Cynthia’s unease grew. She stood up and walked to his side, asking, "I heard you’re taking sister to The Whitlock Family’s banquet tomorrow, is that true?"
"But, in the past, I was always your date. I’m worried about how sister will handle it being her first time..."
