Shen Yun knew that Chi Gui had met a group of people in Nancheng, some of whom seemed to be from minor wealthy families. This was part of the reason for his reminder.
The two chatted for a bit more, and Chi Gui inquired, "How’s the situation with the bids?"
At that, Shen Yun sighed, "The bids submitted so far, especially from the larger companies, are all quite good, but they lack originality. Relying on old methods won’t attract today’s customers. The bidding is a few days away, and most bids haven’t been submitted yet. I’ll see if I can receive any that meet my expectations."
The ones not yet submitted were from medium to small companies as far as Tenggui Group was concerned.

It was the medium and small companies without connections or insider information that did not know what Tenggui Group was looking for and therefore delayed.

Chi Gui saw him out and then received a call from Zhou Wei upon returning home.
"Xiao Chi, the date for this year’s international medical conference has been moved to the day after tomorrow. Can you make time for it?" Zhou Wei asked.
The international medical conference was originally scheduled for a month later, right after the national competition.
It was a surprise it had been moved up so much.
Chi Gui was not surprised; such international conferences were prone to unexpected changes, and rescheduling was a common occurrence.
"Yes," Chi Gui replied politely, "thank you for reminding me, I’m already in the Capital City, so I can go directly."
"You’re back in the Capital City?" Zhou Wei was surprised. "Why didn’t you say anything? Are you here to recuperate?"
Chi Gui chuckled, "This time, it’s for the national competition of the Star Shining Cup. You’re so busy, I didn’t want to disturb you."
He paused for a while before asking with some uncertainty, "Did you just say... what national competition? Have I mistaken the Star Shining Cup competition? Isn’t it the competition for medical students?"
"You have not mistaken, it’s the same one," Chi Gui said.
Zhou Wei fell silent for a moment and sighed deeply. "Professor Chi, please go easy on them. They’re all Huaxia’s future medical workers. Don’t shatter the kids into becoming reclusive."
Chi Gui: "...I will."
Zhou Wei hung up the phone, full of worries.
