The King did not look at the Empress Dowager. Instead, he sat next to the Queen and took her hands, shaking his head and looking at her face. “Mother, Honored Princess, you can take a rest and leave for the court tomorrow. I am going to guard the Queen. That is the only thing I can do for her right now.”
He used to hear from the imperial doctor that the reason why the Queen was still not cured was mostly because she had a mental issue. And he was the cause for the mental issue. Also, he had made good arrangements in the court, so he could stay in the town.
The Empress Dowager stopped walking and looked rather displeased at the sight of the
King.
