The leeches let out wet, gurgling hisses as they converged from every direction.
Dozens of them were already encircling the team.
Kristoff stepped forward, slamming the bottom of his shield into the ground.

He adjusted his grip on his longsword, the edge glinting with faint runes.
His posture hinted at a coming charge... but just before he lunged, Adam raised a hand.
