"Same as before, seven o’clock at Harmony Restaurant." Cen Jin looked at him, paused for two seconds, then asked with a smile, "Are you going?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Baizhou’s expression flashed awkwardly, silently turned his head, and his lips moved coolly, "Just casually asking."
Jiang Baizhou discreetly glanced at her, and just as he was about to look away, the phone on the coffee table suddenly rang. He reached out, picked up the phone, and seeing the caller ID, he answered, "What’s up?"
"I’m at the clinic, the renovation team is here. The office design you requested last time is done, want to come see?" The voice on the other end was sunny and warm, with a hint of teasing.
"Sure." After replying, Jiang Baizhou hung up the phone, turned to look at Cen Jin, who was still chatting on her phone, "Let’s go."
"To the clinic, the renovation design is finished." Jiang Baizhou picked up the remote and turned off the TV, standing up slowly, he gazed at her, "What? Don’t want to go?"
"Not at all, there’s nothing to do at home, let’s go!" Cen Jin chuckled, put away her phone and got up, suddenly noticing she was still wearing very casual home clothes, she continued, "Um... let me go change first, wait for me a bit!"
"No high heels." Jiang Baizhou watched her jog to the door and leisurely reminded her.
Cen Jin paused her steps, turned back to look at him, met his cool, dark eyes, pouted and nodded, "Got it."
Cen Jin went straight to her closet when she got home, choosing a very simple white T-shirt and a light-colored denim skirt, with a pair of white sneakers, looking youthful and energetic. Originally, she didn’t want to put on makeup, but as she was leaving the room, she hesitated for a moment and went back to do a simple light makeup, then looked in the mirror at her delicate and beautiful face, satisfied, she raised an eyebrow and finally left the house.
Once outside the villa, Cen Jin noticed Jiang Baizhou with his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall by the compound door, looking impatiently in her direction, "Why so slow?"
Just as she finished speaking, Jiang Baizhou noticed she had makeup on, his eyebrows moved slightly, revealing no emotion or mood, he tilted his head, "Let’s go!"
Cen Jin quickly closed the door, hurried to catch up with Jiang Baizhou’s pace, and noticed his car was already parked at the entrance, so she automatically went around the car and opened the passenger door to sit inside.
After the car left the neighborhood, Cen Jin suddenly remembered and said, "Hey, Jiang Baizhou, my mom asked me a few days ago if I wanted to get a driver’s license, do you think..."
"Sure." Jiang Baizhou looked ahead, interrupting her, "But it’s not necessary."
"What do you mean?" Cen Jin looked at him, puzzled. She was going to ask if the driver’s license test was difficult, but before she could ask, he had already negated her.
"You think I can’t pass?"
Jiang Baizhou glanced at her sideways, filled with doubt and an incomprehensible emotion. Cen Jin saw this and her face immediately fell, feeling her intelligence had been insulted, but she had no evidence.
Cen Jin glared at him angrily, turned her head to look out the window, determined to get her driver’s license.
Just as the car fell silent, the pleasant ringtone sounded again inside the car. Cen Jin took her phone from her bag, and seeing the caller ID on the screen, she visibly paused, a look of surprise crossing her clear eyes.
