"Yes." Noah Drexler pursed his thin lips and answered calmly.
Summer Shawcross was silent.
Earlier, when she was coming downstairs, she saw the bloodied bandages he had changed out of in the trash can next to the bedroom sofa.

"Why?" she asked, looking puzzled.

His dark eyes grew deeper in color.
For her, Lyra was the safest place.
