Seeing her bewildered expression, Noah Drexler pursed his thin lips and patiently asked her.
"Did I say I wouldn’t go?"
He had only said he didn’t have time; he hadn’t refused to accompany her to the movie.
"But didn’t you say you were very busy?" Summer Shawcross blinked, asking blankly. She asked if he had time, and he said no. Didn’t that sound like a refusal?
"Is that the same thing?" Noah Drexler frowned and questioned her in return.
His schedule was indeed packed for the afternoon, with no free time.
But a few minutes ago, he had already texted his assistant to cancel all his afternoon plans and work.

"The special effects were terrible; the post-production team should all be fired!" Noah Drexler considered for two seconds, then spoke to her from a businessman’s professional perspective.
