Snapping back to his senses, Ouyang Zhuangyu replied, "Don’t you guys think it’s strange that Miss Bai hired us, only to leave us here guarding her house? Normally, the client will bring the bodyguards everywhere they go, unlike Miss Bai."
Wu Jun thought for a moment, and then said, "Miss Bai has a bounty on her head, so it makes sense for Miss Bai to hire more bodyguards. But Brother Zhuangyu is right. If Miss Bai fears assassins, shouldn’t we protect her instead of her house?"
Ouyang Zhuangyu tossed him a steamed bun and snapped his fingers. "Exactly. That’s why I keep thinking she has something inside the house which is more important than her life."
Before the discussion could continue, Wang Kaiye cut in coldly, "Less talking, more working."
Ouyang Zhuangyu chuckled at his words. "Alright, alright. Just curious."
The group dropped the matter and continued with their breakfast.
Meanwhile, Bai Hanyun, Hua Yuyu, and Gao Gong made their way to the restaurant.
Half an hour later, they arrived in front of the restaurant.
"Brother Hua, I’m going to buy some food. Do you want anything?" Bai Hanyun asked while coming down from the car.
Hua Yuyu shook his head. "Thank you, Miss Bai. We already ate."
Closing the car door, Bai Hanyun entered the restaurant. After buying all the medicinal cuisine available, they headed for her warehouse.
Arriving at the warehouse, Bai Hanyun went to open the door. She didn’t have to wait long before a small truck approached from a distance.
Seeing that it was Shen Yi behind the wheel, Bai Hanyun raised her brows slightly and thought, ’It seems that this artificial rain cannon cannot be seen by others.’
After Shen Yi parked the truck in front of the warehouse, Bai Hanyun greeted him, "Boss Shen."
Shen Yi nodded to her and asked, "Miss Bai, should we move the goods into the warehouse?"
Knowing it wouldn’t do them any good if someone saw the Artificial Rain Cannon, Bai Hanyun agreed. "Yes."
With that, she went inside the warehouse and pushed out a transport trolley. With Shen Yi’s help, they unloaded the heavy Artificial Rain Cannon covered by a tarp. They placed it on the trolley along with a wooden crate containing the bullets.
After moving them inside, Bai Hanyun transferred the remaining balance to Shen Yi.
Shen Yi checked the incoming transfer, then put away his phone and said, "Miss Bai, the soft metal armor will be ready in two days. I will contact you again once my elder cousin delivers the goods to me."
"Alright. Thank you for your hard work, Boss Shen," Bai Hanyun responded with a smile.
Grinning widely, Shen Yi replied, "It’s my honor to be able to do business with you, Miss Bai."
As he walked out of the warehouse, he added, "I still need to open my store, so I won’t stay any longer. See you next time, Miss Bai."
Bai Hanyun escorted Shen Yi to his truck, then said, "See you next time, Boss Shen."
After seeing Shen Yi off, Bai Hanyun returned to the warehouse and closed the door. As usual, she took out the antique mirror from her backpack, tapped the frame twice, and waited for its surface to clear.
Seeing that Feng Xiyan was not inside the tent, Bai Hanyun called out, "Feng Yi, are you there?"
A moment later, Feng Wu appeared instead. Kneeling before the altar, he clasped his fists and said, "This subordinate greets Fairy Bai."
Looking at him, Bai Hanyun said, "Feng Wu, please stand."
After Feng Wu stood up, she asked, "Where is Feng Xiyan?"
Looking into the bronze mirror, Feng Wu replied, "Answering Fairy Bai, Master is currently attending the victory celebration banquet with the brothers of the Feng Army."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun glanced at the Artificial Rain Cannon for a second, then asked, "Feng Wu, how long will the banquet last?"
Feng Wu shook his head. "This subordinate doesn’t know. Usually, this kind of victory celebration goes on for the entire day. The peak is in the evening, when the wine is served."
Listening to his explanation, Bai Hanyun thought for a few seconds and said, "Feng Wu, I have a gift for Feng Xiyan, but I can’t bring it back with me. Can you keep an eye on it until I return home?"
Feng Wu nodded and replied, "This subordinate can do it."
Getting his affirmation, Bai Hanyun smiled. "Good. I will send the goods over first and teach you how to use them later."
After he said that, Bai Hanyun added, "Step back. This thing is quite heavy."
She waited for Feng Wu to move a safe distance away before saying to the antique mirror, "Hey, help me send this Artificial Rain Cannon and bullets over."
A second later, the antique mirror glowed dimly. Instantly, the Artificial Rain Cannon and the wooden crate disappeared from the warehouse.
When they appeared in the tent two seconds later, Feng Wu’s eyes widened in amazement at the sight of the Artificial Rain Cannon.
While he was still staring at it, Bai Hanyun said, "Feng Wu, I’m going back first. Let’s talk again later."
Hearing this, Feng Wu clasped his fists and lowered his head. "Yes, Fairy Bai."
Tapping the antique mirror’s frame twice, Bai Hanyun ended the communication and put it back into her backpack. Leaving the warehouse, she locked the door and walked toward the car.
Once inside, Bai Hanyun put on her seatbelt and said, "Let’s return home, Brother Hua."
"Yes, Miss Bai." With that, Hua Yuyu started the engine and drove back to Bai Hanyun’s house.
Ten minutes later, they arrived home.
Carrying the bags of medicinal meals she had bought for Feng Xiyan, Bai Hanyun said, "Thank you, Brother Hua, Brother Gao. Remember to prepare for our trip to Shang Du City tomorrow."
Nodding at her, Hua Yuyu replied, "Got it."
Getting out of the car, Bai Hanyun walked inside the house and went straight back to her bedroom.
