Observing Bai Hanyun’s expression for a few seconds, Gui Xiaoxu smiled faintly and responded, "Indeed. Miss Bai looks very surprised to see me here."

When she asked this, Gui Xiaoxu let out a sigh and complained, "Since Miss Bai’s invitation never arrived, I had no choice but to get an invitation from Madam Hu and attend this banquet just to meet you again."
As soon as his ambiguous words fell, the guests around them began to whisper among themselves.
Gritting her teeth, Bai Hanyun said in a low voice, "CEO Gui, please stop saying something misleading."
Gui Xiaoxu shrugged and asked, "What did I say? Miss Bai, why don’t you explain it to me?"

Staring into Gui Xiaoxu’s cold eyes, Bai Hanyun tried to guess his motive in approaching her. However, after searching for a while, she couldn’t see anything in them.
While she was trying to find the answer, Gui Xiaoxu blinked twice and said, "Miss Bai, you won’t find any answers by staring at my eyes. How about we talk, and you can ask me anything?"
Knowing that that was the only way she could find the answer she sought, Bai Hanyun agreed. "Fine. Lead the way."

After hesitating for a few seconds, Bai Hanyun placed her hand on his palm. Before walking away, she signaled Jiang Yinqi with her eyes and silently said, "It’s alright."
Seeing this, Jiang Yinqi nodded and calmly watched them walk toward the balcony, followed by Hua Yuyu, Gao Gong, and Ke Ting.
Before opening the glass door toward the balcony, Gui Xiaoxu glanced at Ke Ting. Getting his signal, Ke Ting nodded.
Just when Hua Yuyu and Gao Gong were going to follow Bai Hanyun to the balcony, Ke Ting raised his hand to stop them. "Brothers, there is no need to follow them inside. Let’s give them some private space."
Narrowing his eyes, Hua Yuyu coldly said, "Step aside."
Noticing that the tension had increased behind her, Bai Hanyun turned around, looked at Hua Yuyu, and said, "Brother Hua, it’s fine. You can wait here with Brother Gao."
Hearing this, Hua Yuyu glanced at Gui Xiaoxu for a second before nodding to Bai Hanyun. "Alright."
When they finished talking, Gui Xiaoxu opened the door to the balcony, held it for Bai Hanyun, and said, "Miss Bai, please."
Bai Hanyun hesitated for a second before walking out to the balcony, followed by Gui Xiaoxu. A few seconds later, the glass door clicked shut behind them, sealing away the noise of the main hall.
After they walked out, Ke Ting looked at Hua Yuyu and Gao Gong, then explained, "My boss didn’t plan to do anything to Miss Bai. Just relax."
Hua Yuyu stared at Ke Ting for a moment and then ignored him.
While the three of them stood guard at the glass door, Bai Hanyun and Gui Xiaoxu observed each other in silence.
After a long moment of silence, Bai Hanyun finally asked, "CEO Gui, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Taking a deep breath, he felt the gentle, warm, and familiar aura seep into his body, slightly easing the cruciating pain that was burning his soul.
A few moments later, he opened them again, a hint of delight flashing across his face.

Taking two steps back, he said, "Miss Bai, I heard that you received an invitation from Old Master Yu to attend the auction tomorrow at Gu Bao Auction House. Are you planning to sell more antiques to Old Master Yu?"
The Gu Bao Auction House’s next auction was a hot topic amongst the wealthy circle, so it was not surprising for Gui Xiaoxu to know about it.
Bai Hanyun didn’t plan to hide that information and nodded in answer. "Yes."
After confirming her attendance at the auction tomorrow, Gui Xiaoxu continued, "I heard that Miss Bai received a huge antique collection from Chairman Bai after he passed away. Are you going to sell some tomorrow?"
Bai Hanyun nodded again and carefully replied, "Yes."
