Hearing noises from downstairs, Bai Hanyun knew that Hua Yuyu and Gao Gong had returned.
Looking at Feng Xiyan through the antique mirror, she said, "Feng Xiyan, I still have things to do here. Let’s talk again tomorrow."
Not wanting to delay her, Feng Xiyan replied, "Alright. Xiyan will wait for you, Fairy Bai."
After saying goodbye, Bai Hanyun tapped the antique mirror’s frame twice to end the connection. She then placed it inside her backpack, got out of bed, and went downstairs.
As she descended the stairs, Bai Hanyun noticed that Hua Yuyu and the others were packing their belongings.
"Brother Hua, why are you all packing? Isn’t our flight tomorrow morning?" she asked curiously.
At her question, Hua Yuyu, Jiang Yinqi, and the others looked up.
Seeing her approaching, Hua Yuyu replied, "Miss Bai, your father may be targeting you again."
Bai Hanyun frowned slightly at his words. Sitting on the couch, she asked, "What do you mean?"
Handing his gun to Bao Shengjie, Hua Yuyu sat across from Bai Hanyun.
Placing a burned metal shard on the low table, he explained, "The people tailing us tonight should be members of the Xue Wu Gang. We found this after they tried to kill us with a grenade."

Hua Yuyu nodded. "This metal shard is a type of identity tag used in underground organizations. From its shape and carving, I’m certain those people were members of the Xue Wu Gang."

Patting her shoulder, Jiang Yinqi reassured her, "Don’t worry. They are all trained soldiers. They will be fine."
Bai Hanyun frowned slightly and hummed softly. "Mhm."
Seeing that it was almost midnight, Jiang Yinqi added, "Hanyun, you should rest now."
Feeling tired, Bai Hanyun nodded and replied, "Alright. Good night, Elder Brother Yinqi."
While Bai Hanyun and the others retired to their rooms, Ke Ting had just received word of the assassination attempt from one of his subordinates.
Frowning deeply, he instructed, "Stay close to Miss Bai and protect her at all times. Report to me immediately if anything changes."
"Yes, Boss," the man replied.
After ending the call, Ke Ting left his bedroom to find Gui Xiaoxu. Since it was nearly midnight, he didn’t go to the study but headed straight to Gui Xiaoxu’s room.
Ten minutes later, he knocked on the door.
A moment passed before Gui Xiaoxu’s cold voice sounded from within. "Come in."
With permission granted, Ke Ting opened the door and entered.
Seeing Gui Xiaoxu seated behind a large mahogany table, he walked up to him and reported, "Boss, our men just sent word. The Xue Wu Gang dispatched a team to assassinate Miss Bai tonight."
When his words fell, Gui Xiaoxu looked up from his laptop. Frowning deeply, he asked, "What happened?"

Gui Xiaoxu thought for a moment, then said, "Ke Ting, send them a warning. Tell them not to touch Miss Bai. She is under my protection."
"Yes, Boss." Accepting the order, Ke Ting left.
