"They’ve scattered, just as we wanted." Anluns said with a smile, his hands tucked into his suit pockets, "While our name is ’Travel Brigade,’ we’re not really good at teamwork when it comes to fighting."
He walked leisurely, as if taking a stroll, towards the direction of "Tower of Babel" Lewis.
Bernardo took a deep breath and removed the single-sided mirror from his face, looking off into the distance at Laine and the Sword in the Stone radiating brilliant light and flames in his hand.
"Old friend, long time no see..." Bernardo grinned and slowly moved towards him.
And so, at this moment, only two people from the White Crow Travel Brigade remained at the front of Whale’s Mouth.
The kimono-clad girl lifted her vacant eyes, scanned the four members of the Royal Court Team, then tugged at Xia Pingzhou’s sleeve. Xia Pingzhou had his head lowered, his gaze obscured by his drooping bangs. She couldn’t make out his expression.
Yet vaguely, she could sense that Xia Pingzhou was somewhat angry for some reason.
"What’s wrong?" he asked.
"Who are we fighting?" Ayase Origami asked.
"Hasn’t the team leader already decided..." Xia Pingzhou said, pointing at the spiky-haired man in the distance, "Di Rejie, the one with the explosive hairstyle, his oddity is the ’Tunguska Explosion,’ he’s our opponent."
Ayase Origami released sheets of snow-white paper from her sleeves, some forming the skeleton of a dragon, quickly filling in bones and flesh, and finally transforming into a layer of scales covering the surface of a white dragon.
Another sheet of paper formed a prop above Xia Pingzhou’s head, like the bamboo copter from ’Doraemon.’ The paper helicopter spun rapidly, causing his hair to flutter and suddenly calming his chaotic mind.
"Can’t you be serious at a time ?" Xia Pingzhou asked.
"Just testing if it can fly." Ayase Origami said.
"Obviously it can’t..." Xia Pingzhou said, "You’re Ayase A-mon, not Doraemon."
The snow-white paper dragon lowered its body, and Ayase Origami and Xia Pingzhou climbed onto the dragon’s back. The dragon flapped its wings, whipping up a gust of wind, and with a deafening roar flew towards Di Rejie guarding the beach.
In mid-air, Xia Pingzhou called forth the Celestial Driver, streams of black and white light revolved around his form like a Mobius strip.
"Such courage, you mutts!" Di Rejie sneered, lowering his face with a sinister smile.
He crushed the generational oddity "Tunguska Explosion" and common oddity "Wind Fire Wheel" in his hand.
In the next moment, the fingers of his right hand suddenly burst with light, emitting a snapping sound.
Simultaneously, two high-speed spinning wheels appeared at his feet. The friction between the wheels and the air sparked flames, forming circles of fire.
In a flash, the Wind Fire Wheel carried Di Rejie’s body upward into the sky.
He sneered, snapping his right fingers once more, leading a meteor-like shower to fall from the sky, targeting the soaring paper dragon.
The massive paper dragon roared, tilting slightly to carry Xia Pingzhou and Ayase Origami past the meteor, the ensuing heat wave scorching a corner of its wing and burning Xia Pingzhou’s hoodie hood.
He felt the searing heat behind him and frowned slightly.
Di Rejie grinned, snapping his fingers repeatedly, sending a series of small meteors to plummet from the sky with scarlet tails.
However, Ayase Origami flicked her long sleeve, and the snow-white paper dragon vibrated its wings suddenly, weaving a zigzag course, skillfully dodging the meteors, avoiding all attacks, brushing past the raging heat bursts.
The roar of the dragon grew closer, narrowing the gap to just over a hundred meters, yet Di Rejie showed no panic, nor did he use the Wind Fire Wheel to retreat; instead, his smile only deepened.
He snapped both fingers simultaneously, summoning small meteors from all directions: east, west, south, north, above, below, forming an airtight assault!
Countless meteors trailed starlike lights, encircling the paper dragon in mid-air.
Winds poured in from all sides, Ayase Origami looked around, yet found no gap for escape. The small meteors sealed every route, blocking the dragon’s path no matter where it flew.
Consequently, Ayase Origami clung to Xia Pingzhou’s sleeve, seemingly intending to jump off the dragon’s back with him.
Yet Xia Pingzhou shook his head, speaking against the powerful wind pressure, "No need to jump. If we lose your paper dragon, we can’t adjust position in mid-air, he’ll seize the chance."
As he finished speaking, Xia Pingzhou promptly reached for the Black and White Ring Road, calling forth the Queen’s Statue.
The luxurious and regal statue extended its right arm, embracing Xia Pingzhou and Ayase Origami by the necks, then leaned down, placing its left hand on the paper dragon’s back.
All four entered a state of "Nihilization," becoming transparent for a moment. The meteors exploded into intense heat, creating a vortex of flames that furiously swept through the air.
Yet next second, the transparent paper dragon emerged carrying three transparent figures.
With the Nihilization undone, the paper dragon once again stirred up a gust, soaring along with two people and a giant statue, surging towards the sky where Di Rejie lurked like an eagle in flight!
