My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious Chapter 198

Qin Miaomiao’s private account suddenly had an extra hundred million yuan. She stared at it, dumbfounded. Wait a minute, wasn’t Ninth Uncle only supposed to transfer fifty million? Where did the remaining fifty million come from?

After thinking for a moment, she dialed Lu Qing’s number.

At the shareholders’ meeting, Lu Qing had a cold, expressionless face that clearly said, "Stay away." No one dared to breathe loudly. Those who spoke did so nervously, terrified of saying something wrong.

The atmosphere at the meeting was suffocating. At this moment, a phone rang.

"I have a little donkey, but I never ride it. Sometimes I take it out to watch a show."

What the heck, whose ringtone is so quirky and attention-grabbing?

Everyone exchanged glances, schadenfreude written all over their faces. Bringing a phone to a meeting ? Might as well be asking for trouble—definitely about to get kicked out!

Then, Lu Qing pulled out his phone and, without a change in expression, answered it.

"Honey, did you transfer money to me?"

"Ninth Uncle invested fifty million. I obviously can’t fall behind. The budget is set at one hundred million. If it’s still not enough, I’ll add more later."

"That’s more than enough, absolutely plenty. Thanks, honey."

Lu Qing’s expression immediately softened. "Good girl."

After ending the call, he swept his gaze across the room. Everyone sat up perfectly straight, trying to suppress their laughter with all their might, while a thousand galloping wild horses seemed to thunder through their minds!

What had they just heard? The almighty tyrant CEO actually spoke in such a tender tone? Had such an adorable and childish ringtone? Said something like "good girl"?

The person on the other end of the call had to be some femme fatale-level woman, to turn their CEO into this!

"Let’s continue the meeting."

Whimper, whimper. The moment he hung up, he reverted back to his domineering CEO self. The transformation was so startling it left everyone speechless!

Qin Miaomiao’s new film project was moving ahead smoothly. In a short amount of time, it was approved, and the selection of the movie’s main cast was underway.

Gao Hu specifically invited her over to oversee the audition process and make the final decisions on the actors.

After all, this was Gao Hu’s project. As a winner of the Academy Award for Best Director, his films attracted every actor, even if it meant working for free. They would fight for any role.

When she arrived at the audition venue, the place was teeming with celebrities. It resembled some sort of charity gala. Whether A-list or B-list, plenty of familiar faces filled the room.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses and accompanied by Little second and Little sixth, Qin Miaomiao walked in and sat down at the judges’ panel.

The celebrities weren’t fools. One glance at the situation was enough for them to discern that this youthful woman must be the investor.

Gao Hu was exceedingly polite to her and leaned over to whisper, "Miss Qin, shall we begin the auditions?"

Thus began the auditions. The room’s lighting was somewhat dim, with a spotlight trained on the center stage, making it easier to observe the actors’ performances.

Each actor was given only twenty minutes. Whether they passed the first round depended entirely on the judges’ verdicts.

Qin Miaomiao took off her sunglasses but remained silent throughout, her expression serious. She actually carried a professional air about her.

After the first round, only ten people were left. The others were sent home. Some were clearly unwilling to accept the result but didn’t dare to cause trouble—after all, Gao Hu was no ordinary director.

No matter how famous the stars were, they had to behave themselves here. No one dared to throw a tantrum.

The ten remaining contestants faced a much stricter second round, with each given thirty minutes this time.

But when a man named Rong Lan finally showed up, Qin Miaomiao’s eyes lit up with a moment of amazement. He hadn’t appeared during the first round.

Even Gao Hu exclaimed in surprise, "Rong Lan? Weren’t you in the United States?"
