Qin Miaomiao lifted her gaze to him and asked, word by word:
"Have you found out who hijacked it?"
"Apologies, not yet, Young Madam. Should we inform Madam about this matter?"
Little second didn’t dare look her in the eye. Qin Miaomiao’s heart sank immediately, yet her expression grew even more ruthless:
"Telling them will only create chaos. Go investigate right now and find out exactly what happened!"
Little second felt a chill in his heart. Just then, Qin Miaomiao received a call from Mr. Jiu. After learning Lu Qing had been in an accident, her first reaction was to contact Mr. Jiu.
Though she wasn’t entirely sure of the full extent of his influence, he was the person she trusted the most, and she had to seek his help.
"The Mafia in France hijacked the plane. Lu Qing has ties to their forces there. Don’t worry, that kid is pretty sharp. He’ll probably manage to handle the situation. If he can’t and ends up losing his life, I’ll find you another good husband."
"Ninth Uncle, if he dies, I’ll spend the rest of my life as a widow for him. I’m going to France."
Mr. Jiu’s voice turned cold: "What are you going to do there?"
"He’s in France, so I must go to France. Ninth Uncle, my husband is there. No matter how powerful he is, I need to bring him back safe and sound!"
Mr. Jiu sighed and asked quietly:
"Do you really love him that much?"
"Ninth Uncle, perhaps there’ll never be anyone else in this world who could love me the way he does. He is my life."
After a long silence, Mr. Jiu said in a muted tone:
"Get ready. We’re departing in an hour."
Qin Miaomiao exhaled deeply: "Thank you, Ninth Uncle."
An hour later, she truly boarded a plane—only to discover Mr. Jiu sitting in the private cabin, sipping champagne.
"Ninth Uncle, why are you here too?"
"You want to go to France, naturally I have to accompany you."
Qin Miaomiao was deeply moved. Mr. Jiu, however, teased her lightly:
"What’s this? Moved enough to cry? Little Jin’er, the people we’re up against are the Mafia—nothing but ruthless and vicious villains."
"Get some sleep first. We’ll deal with everything once we’re in France."
Qin Miaomiao lay down on the sofa beside him and fell asleep. Mr. Jiu got up, draped a blanket over her, and frowned involuntarily when he noticed her furrowed brows.
Who knows what sort of dumb luck that kid Lu Qing had to make Little Jin’er so devoted to him? If that kid ever dared to bully Little Jin’er, he’d flay him alive!
When Qin Miaomiao woke up, they had already arrived in France, and there was a private car waiting for them.

A few hours later, there was new progress!
"Ninth Uncle, what did you say? All the hostages taken in the hijacking have been released? What about Lu Qing?"
