Early in the morning, Lu Qing was nowhere to be seen, and she received a call from Li Li:
"Su Moli plans to sue Chu Yunhao for murder."
"What about the evidence?"
"She has some evidence in her hands that is enough to convict Chu Yunhao. The police have already filed a case, and the truth about Su Jin’s murder will soon be revealed."
Qin Miaomiao’s lips curled into a smile: "Before Chu Yunhao is convicted, Mr. Li will have to trouble himself to appease Su Moli."
"Don’t worry, a person with paralyzed legs is nothing to be afraid of."
A trace of coldness flashed in Qin Miaomiao’s eyes. Just paralyzed legs would suffice? No, that’s not enough. With her hand, she would send Chu Yunhao to prison, and then it would be her turn.
A blood debt must be paid in blood; it just wasn’t time to confront her yet.
On the other end of the phone, Li Li suppressed all emotions and said calmly:
He hung up the phone, but his palms were sweaty! He never believed in superstitions, but the sense of familiarity that Qin Miaomiao exuded, and the words she said the last time they parted, almost drove him insane.
He took a few deep breaths to suppress the surging emotions. He planned before acting; the person was here, and she couldn’t run away. He would wait until he found out the truth.
In the evening, Lu Qing took her to Sifang City, saying he wanted to introduce her to some friends.
His friends, apart from Jin Jing, she hadn’t met many. Lu Qing was not a fan of socializing outside of work. The two of them preferred to stay at home, either reading books, watching movies, or with her writing and him handling work, neither interfering with the other, which was quite harmonious.
She had been to this Sifang City a few times, and was somewhat familiar with it. Lu Qing was one of the shareholders.
She followed him straight to the innermost VIP luxury room. The light inside was a bit dim, so she could only see figures, not faces. With a click, the light turned on.
Qin Miaomiao covered her eyes, taking a long time to adjust, just in time to hear a teasing voice:
"Wow, you finally brought your wife out."
She looked over at the source of the voice: two or three men sat on the sofa, each with a beautiful girl clinging to them. Some even looked familiar, probably some of the currently popular starlets.
Jin Jing came over and glanced back: "Sister-in-law, didn’t Jiaojiao come?"
Qin Miaomiao smiled: "Jiaojiao wouldn’t kind of setting."
Jin Jing mumbled: "True, I invited her, but she said she was too busy to come."
"I heard you moved into her house? You move fast."
Jin Jing scratched his head: "But I’ve pissed Jiaojiao off before, and she wants to kick me out. Sister-in-law, can you put in a good word for me?"
Qin Miaomiao glanced at him sideways: "What did you do to piss her off?"
Qin Miaomiao didn’t wait for him to finish before cutting him off: "Don’t even think about it. If it involves a girl, I can’t help you. Congratulations on being kicked out."
Jin Jing looked pitiful: "Sister-in-law, you can’t just gloat and kick me when I’m down. Watch out, or I’ll move into your house!"
"You’re welcome as long as my husband agrees."
As her husband, Lu Qing gave him a sidelong look: "You want to move into my house?"
Oh dear, Little Lu’s expression looked terrifying, with a face showing clear displeasure at being disturbed.
"Just temporarily..."
"Don’t even think about it!"
"Little Lu, what about the brotherhood and being there for each other?"
Lu Qing sneered: "You’re lucky I haven’t stabbed you twice."
