"What about the mother-in-law and sister-in-law?"
Lu Qing chuckled, "No need to worry. They’re too busy dealing with their own troubles right now. A thirty-million hole isn’t something that’s easily patched up."
"What, the car accident issue still isn’t resolved?"
Lu Qing ruffled her hair gently, speaking softly, "If I don’t want it resolved, then it won’t be resolved."
"You’re really cunning. But still, thirty million... wasting a car like that, it’s heartbreaking."
Lu Qing sneered, "It was just an illusion created by my people. The car was just a second-hand one, repainted and spruced up—it’s not worth thirty million."
Qin Miaomiao froze momentarily. He did all of this... for her.
"Don’t overthink it. When trouble brews at home, everything else goes awry. Over the years, I’ve been too lazy to deal with household affairs. Lu Lu’s been spoiled beyond recognition—arrogant and brainless. Because of that, she’s easily manipulated. My mom not only indulges her, but has also been quite extravagant in spending. If things continue , it’ll leave hidden dangers sooner or later."
Qin Miaomiao turned around and hugged him tightly, "You’ve been working so hard."
Indeed, when the family doesn’t settle down, it’s a constant headache. If a lesson dealt once can resolve things, it’ll save a lot of trouble in the future.
Fang Li finally brought Lu Lu home, but losing thirty million felt like a stab to her heart. Lu Lu, on the other hand, looked frail and tired. These past few days of living in fear had worn her temper down significantly.
Fang Li suddenly swung a slap across Lu Lu’s face and furiously scolded:
"Are you a pig? Racing with someone and borrowing someone else’s car—what kind of people do you even associate with?"
Lu Lu was stunned by the slap.
"Thirty million! That’s my private savings. Do you have any idea how difficult it was to bail you out?"
The anger in Lu Lu’s heart flared instantly, and she retorted:
"Then why didn’t you ask Brother for help? He’s my brother. Would he really sit back and watch me suffer? You insisted on spending thirty million—how are we supposed to survive now? Not only has he cut off my allowance, but he even froze your card. Why do you have to fight with Brother?"
Fang Li sneered, "If I compromise, it’s as good as admitting defeat to Qin Miaomiao! Who does she think she is? Your brother is just temporarily bewitched by her, but I’m not fooled. They want me to yield? Over my dead body!"
At this point, Lu Lu couldn’t care less about compromise. After everything she’d been through, she finally realized that only her brother was her true support.

Behind Fang Li’s back, she went to Lu Qing’s villa outside. Lu Qing wasn’t home, so Qin Miaomiao received her.
"Hello, Sister-in-law."
She forced a fake smile onto her face as she greeted her.
Qin Miaomiao glanced at her briefly, quickly understanding that she must have come with a purpose.
She invited her in. Lu Lu glanced around the villa and, without hesitation, sank into the sofa like it was her own home, casually asking:
"He had something to do; he stepped out."
She had actually tried calling her brother, but he didn’t pick up. He was probably still angry at her—his silence was likely intentional.
Qin Miaomiao poured her a glass of water. Lu Lu swallowed her dissatisfaction and looked at the house’s simple-yet-classy décor, feeling a surge of jealousy.
"I came here to make peace with you."
