The drowsiness that Yun Hao originally felt immediately dissipated as he understood the situation at home. He quickly got dressed and jumped out of the window, sprinting towards Yu Mei's home while comforting her over the phone, assuring her not to worry because he was on his way!
As for why he chose the window and not the front door, partly it was because of the urgent matter, and partly to avoid Chu Yan finding out. After all, sneaking out to rescue a lover should be done discreetly!
The distance from Yu Mei's place to Chu Yan's villa takes nearly forty minutes by car. Even with Yun Hao running at full speed, it was already over twenty minutes by the time he reached the bottom of Yu Mei's building!
By then, the phone in his hand had already disconnected; something must have happened on Yu Mei's end. Yun Hao chose not to be foolish and call again, as that might reveal Yu Mei's location if she was hiding.
It's hard not to praise Yun Hao's cleverness, for Yu Mei was indeed hiding in the kitchen cupboard, her whole body trembling in fear and panic!
Without the experience, it's impossible for someone to understand just how helpless Yu Mei felt. She could only hope Yun Hao would arrive faster, like a hero riding the Seven-Colored Auspicious Clouds to her rescue!
Glancing at Yu Mei's window, cloaked in darkness without any lights switched on, Yun Hao quickly ascended the stairs. As he reached the third floor, he intentionally slowed his steps, making the unusual night's silence even more pronounced!
Reaching Yu Mei's door, Yun Hao leaned forward and pressed an ear against the door, quietly listening to the sounds inside the room.
In about thirty seconds, Yun Hao could determine the number of people inside. He heard two distinct breaths: one high-pitched and rapid, presumably the frightened Yu Mei, and the other even but somewhat aggressive, likely the one intending to harm Yu Mei!
By calculating from the breath and footsteps, Yun Hao gauged the distance between himself and the man inside. Even if he were to shoot the Asura Gold Coin, it would still take at least three seconds, enough time for the other man to harm Yu Mei!
"Ah, Liu Wei, let go of me!"
Suddenly, Yu Mei's terrified scream echoed from inside, accompanied by the sounds of a struggle and clothes tearing.
"You slut, I begged you not to break up, yet you insist. See how I torture you today, then let other men have their fun with you!"
The voice of the man called Liu Wei finally rang out, revealing a sinister and shameless tone. It was disgusting to hear him use threats so unmanly!
"Rip!"
The sound of fabric tearing reached Yun Hao's ears, and he knew he couldn't wait any longer. No matter what, he had to stop this man, even if he was Yu Mei's ex-boyfriend; he'd just ensure not to kill him!
With this resolve, Yun Hao kicked the door hard, making a loud "bang" as the security door burst open. Before Liu Wei inside could react, Yun Hao swiftly glided into the room, delivering a punch to Liu Wei's abdomen!
A dull thud emanated from Liu Wei's stomach as his body staggered back four or five meters, crashing into the opposing wall. A mouthful of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as he hit the ground.

Everything happened so fast, Yu Mei was still in the grasp of terror over Liu Wei. The sudden sound of the door crashing and Liu Wei's release prompted her to scream and attempt to flee.
"Sister Mei, it's me, Yun Hao. I'm here; you're safe now!" Yun Hao caught Yu Mei around the waist, pulling her tightly into his embrace as he loudly declared.
"Oh Yun Hao, it's really you; you've finally come!" Realizing it was Yun Hao, Yu Mei clung to his waist tightly, burying her tear-streaked face like a kitten into his chest.
"Who are you? This is between Yu Mei and me; it's none of your business!" Liu Wei coughed up two mouthfuls of blood, struggling to stand with his back against the wall, glaring venomously at Yun Hao as he spoke coldly.
"You don't need to know who I am, but since Sister Mei has broken up with you, you'd better find some dignity and stop harassing her!" Yun Hao icily looked at Liu Wei while inside questioning the identity of this fellow. From that punch earlier, he sensed that this guy possessed some skill, likely even stronger than the bodyguards around Romance!
How did Yu Mei get involved with such a person?
"Heh, it's none of your business whether I pursue or not. Don't think just because you have some moves you can act without restraint. Do you believe I wouldn't shoot you both dead?" Liu Wei sneered, pulling a gun from his waistband. His bloodied visage appeared menacing.
"Yun Hao, you should go! I appreciate you coming to save me. If there's a next life, I'd want to meet you sooner. I'm willing to be with you even without a title!" Yu Mei, seeing Liu Wei pull a gun, urgently shielded Yun Hao, using her body as a barrier against Liu Wei's black gun muzzle. She kissed Yun Hao, then tried with all her might to push him out of the room!
"Hahaha, Yu Mei, Yu Mei, so you want to break up with me because you found someone else, huh? Is this pretty boy your lover? How about it?" Liu Wei laughed maniacally upon hearing Yu Mei's words and observing her actions, spewing unbearable words.
"What about you? It's really pathetic, dealing with my leftovers, alas!" Liu Wei continued taunting Yun Hao arrogantly.
