Chapter 337 Bad Fathers
"What? He was here? "
"Yes, I do not know what he was doing here or maybe he showed up because he knew I was here," Veronica Parker said equally feeling confused.
She was tired of her parents.
But they had to deal with the devil Nick Cage.
"Did he do anything to you?" Isabella asked.
"No, he apologized to me and told me not to hate him or something," Veronica Parker shook her head feeling funny.
Some dark feelings were deeply rooted in the bottom of her heart. Would an apology be enough to solve their broken relationship? She did not know how to move on from those dark feelings.
"I don't think you should pay any attention to him! He had been indifferent to you for so many years. Why is he pretending to be a good father now?" Isabella said, her voice filled with anger.
"I don't know how quick his behavior can suddenly change."
Isabella looked at her and said, "Don't think of him anymore. You should have a good rest. Is there anything you want to eat? I'll make it for you. "
"I don't want to eat anything. I have no appetite," Veronica Parker said. There was nothing she could think of, she couldn't help but ask, "When will the six little ones be back? I miss them."
"I'll be back in a minute. Would you like to have some more rest? Do you have any energy?"
"It's all right, I'm feeling much better."
"Then I'll head down and when they come back, I'll bring them to your room."
"I would love that," Veronica Parker closed her eyes after Isabella went out.
Every time she felt sad and depressed, her emotions would be cured when she saw the six little ones.
Just when Veronica Parker was feeling drowsy, Isabella entered the room with the six little ones.
"Mom you're here!"
"Mom I miss you!"
"Mom we're here!"
"Mom look at me!"
"Mom I love you!"
"Mom wake up!"
Six small mouths screamed for their Mom just like when they were crying for food.
Veronica Parker opened her eyes and saw six cute little faces at the edge of the bed. They all looked healthy with big round eyes shining like stars. Their soft and cute looks melt Veronica Parker's heart in an instant.
She thought she should sit up and give each of them a hug.
Veronica Parker sat up with smiling eyes, "I'm glad you're all back!"
"Mom, are you not feeling well?" Peter asked first.
"What's wrong Mom?" Julie seconded.
"Mom wants milk, it tastes good," Josh said.
"I know! Mom wants to drink. Let's get her some ginger ale," Cathy said as she tried to remember the name.
"The last time Mom drank ginger ale, she's all right!" Lily said.
"Well," Daniel was thinking slowly. "Is it a ginger ale or milk?"
Veronica Parker sweat, you can drink milk, but forget ginger water. The shadow of drinking ginger ale is still there!
"It's all right. Mom had already taken some medicine. She will be all right tomorrow," Isabella said. "Mom is going to have a rest. We should go out first and not disturb her. Let's go!"
"No! I want to be with mom! I want to be with mom!" Peter screamed.
He freaked out when someone held his rear collar and picked him up, his two short legs being lifted into the air.
Veronica Parker and Isabella were stunned.
"What's the matter?" Nick Cage asked Peter.
Peter was stupefied at first and then he cried, "Why did you lift me like that? Bad Daddy! Bad Daddy!"
Veronica Parker sweats nervously. Peter was screaming in Nick Cage's ears, he should not mess with him. That little boy had no idea how horrible was that man he called Daddy.
"Be quiet," Nick Cage squinted dangerously at Peter who was waving his limbs in the air.
"Mom!" Peter continued to howl.
"Stop what you're doing Nick. Is that how you usually raise your kids?" Veronica Parker couldn't believe what she saw
"If you someone is being disobedient then should be taught some lesson" Nick Cage glanced at the other five little people shivering as they huddled together.
