Veronica Parker was shocked and at the table suddenly became cold which became more frightened just now.
Subconsciously Nick Cage came into the scene. The ambiance was chilling that it could reached up to your spine.
"Mr. Cage was eating and no one was allowed to came in." The bodyguard gave an unkind warning.
Clare Parker was stopped outside the door and the bodyguards blocked the way which made everyone impossible to came in.
It seemed that she did not force herself to enter she turned around then left.
Veronica Parker listened to the sound of Clare Parker's high-heeled shoes when was leaving and she wasn't relaxed at all.
The goal of not being far away from Clare Parker had been achieved.
Why not made a call to him and told him what she wanted.

She tightened her nerves and carefully she stuffed a piece of beef into Nick Cage's plate. "This was delicious."
He was looking down and it pervaded the ambiance. Her sweet action was ignored by him.

"Explanation was just a cover-up. No, I didn't call. I couldn't believe you've checked my phone." She concealed her distressed.

She was scared that she didn't believe that he bugged her phone otherwise this would had happened a long time ago. She made a phone call from her assistant's cell phone and she glanced at it. Initially, it was uncomfortable to had a toothache and then she had to encountered such an awkward situation. "Those who did such an odd move were bored to death."
His black eyes froze and looked at her dangerously. "What did you just say?"
She realized the unpleasant ambiance and hurriedly changed her tone. "I meant Clare Parker was bored not you! I made a call to Toby Cage because of his cooperation. I wanted to stop the loss in time and not mixed with other emotions. I wanted to solved the problem."
"So I was the last person you thought of." his black eyes looked at her coldly and the words were sure.
"No, I didn't think that way."
"I bought you a new phone. How did you know Toby Cage's contact number?" He continued to questioned her.
She was no way out and if she wanted to blurted it out, it seemed that something got stuck in her throat.
"What did you say? That you had never forgotten Toby Cage's cell phone number?" He asked. Even if it was not intentional, what was the use of her innocence?
"I didn't store his number." She still had to answer otherwise He would think of something.
