She knew Nick Cage already had an idea about her whereabouts, but it doesn't matter anymore.
She thought it would be easy to talk to Tom Parker rather than dealing with her miscarriage.
She doesn't want Nick Cage to be involved with this when she knew he only wanted to caper with her body.
Veronica Parker looked at her watch and bracelet and thought it was absurd.
She took it off and threw them into the drawer. It somehow made her feel relieved.
Nick Cage was monitoring from the CCTV when he saw what Veronica Parker did. His calm and reserved face went ferocious.
No one gave her permission to take it off.
Veronica Parker was seated in the living room for about half an hour when someone knocked on the door.
She walked towards the door to see who it was.
She opened the door and saw Tom Parker and the maid who was standing on the opposite door.
"Come in!" Veronica Parker ignored the maid and invited Tom Parker inside.
She immediately closed the door as Tom Parker got in.
"Is this your first time here?" Veronica Parker asked, "This was Isabella's house. I've always lived here".
She sat on the sofa. Tom Parker was still standing close to the door while peculiarly looking at her.
"Are you afraid?" she asked him.
Tom Parker walked towards the sofa next to her and sat down, "Why should I be afraid?"
Veronica Parker smirked and said, "It's true that people could lose their emotions when they did too many bad things in their life."
"Why did you ask me here?" Tom Parker asked.
"You are not grandma's son. I am not interested in the details but I just wanted to know how I ended up being your daughter?" she said.
"Who told you I wasn't her son?"
Veronica Parker looked at him steadily, "Do you think I didn't know? Grandma told me everything. Please don't deny it".
"I am her son!" Tom Parker said.
Veronica Parker thought he already accepted that he was adopted and stopped looking for answers on where he came from.
"Tell me everything you know and I'll give you what you want," she said.
"You didn't help me to get the ownership of the land in the southwest, and you can't even protect my company," Tom Parker said as if he was up on the bet.
"Who told you I can't help you? Did you see the woman on the opposite door? They were sent by Nick to take care of my needs. Dad, I can give you what you want or maybe make your life miserable. Do you think I can't do that?" she said.
Tom Parker was displeased, "Veronica, aren't you just relying on Nick?"
"I am. If it wasn't for him, would you chase me for help?"
Tom Parker was speechless.
Veronica Parker was right. He always asked for her help because of Nick Cage until all his plans went out of control.
"Now, tell me. Who are my parents?" she asked.
"You know anyone could be destroyed on the internet, right?" He threatened her, "Did you cast around my office?"
"I did, and I know you can't have children," she said, "I also got the videos and destroyed the flash drive. You have nothing now. The card is on me!" she said.
