Chapter 849 A Call
Eden went over and sat down next to Kevin. "Can you think of a way to get half of the money back? Even if not all of it or 1/3? Quarter? You can't afford to pay a penny, can you?"
Kevin didn't want to talk about the issue. He said, "It's late. I'm going back. Chloe, let's go!"
Kevin and Chloe got up and left.
Eden was so angry that he smashed everything in the living room!
What happened was that his son unexpectedly gave all his property to an outsider. What would he do for the rest of his life?
Eden slumped to the ground and he started to wail, "Toby, you are so ruthless. How could you do this to me?"
In the car, Chloe seemed to have a glimmer of expectation and asked, "You really can't get this money back in a lawsuit? You can't get it back at all?"
"How will I get it? This is a will made by Toby himself! It must be a one-size-fits-all measure to prevent the second person from competing for it!"
At the moment, Chloe hated that she was not Veronica's real mother!

Veronica Parker woke up in a daze and soon realized and felt that someone was holding her body.
Last night, Nick undressed her in the bathroom, bathed her, and brought her back to bed.
Veronica didn't struggle from beginning to end.
She was like a doll without a soul at the mercy of Nick Cage.

"A week."
Nick looked into her eyes. "What will you do during that week?"
Veronica looked at him fearlessly. "I don't know. I just want to be alone. Maybe I can adjust myself in a week. You're not going to give me a week, are you?"
Nick's eyes were very dark. "OK, I'll give you a week." With that, he pinched Veronica's chin and pressed his mouth to hers.
Veronica did not resist, she closed her eyes but her heartache was beyond measure.
Nick and Veronica had dinner together and he really left.
But the servant who was taking care of her was still there.
The servant didn't hang around in front of her all the time. The servant would only show up when she needed her. Veronica spent the rest of her time in another room.
The servant used to stay in the opposite room but at the moment they were just living together.
What Veronica didn't know was that the servant was following her through the surveillance in the house!
Nick promised to give her a week and she knew that this was the limit of Nick.
It was a shock that she was able to let him go!
Veronica wanted to run away from Nick. She was trying to get away from him every minute.
Veronica went to bed early in the evening, to be exact, she was in bed all day. She seldom left the room. She was always in a daze, or thinking about ways to escape!
Her cell phone on the nightstand rang and she turned over slowly and got it.
The number of the incoming call was hidden. She answered, "Who is this?"
