My Cheat Skill Is Unlimited Chapter 25

"Put me down." Luna demands, noticing Lucian's slow movements along with the weight that was slowly starting to settle in her bones; it felt somehow similar to her red eye that was slowly closing up. "I think there is something wrong with this rain. It's doing something to us." She cast a double healing spell on herself and Lucian while trying to cast one. It was at this moment Luna realized that the death trail she faced while fighting the dungeon king wasn't for nothing because her system had leveled up and her healing skills had become more efficient than usual.

"It is the rain after all." Lucian moved his limbs, which were now feeling light thanks to Luna's magic.

'We can't stay in this toxic rain; we need to find shelter,' he thought, looking around for any tree that was big enough to offer them temporary shade.

"While you were running away, I saw a player, a guy who was hiding behind the trees. What did you do to him?" Luna asked. She was done with her healing spell, but the rain was still falling on them, so it was only a matter of time for their bodies to start freezing up again. A frown appeared on Lucian's face as he asked, "What do you mean by that?" He didn't like the accusations he heard on Luna's voice.

"You know what I mean." Luna argues. She didn't trust Lucian's actions when it came to other players. "You just killed Morwen, but that still isn't enough to satisfy your bloodlust, and now you are chasing after another player as soon as we left the dungeon. What kind of teammates are we, Lucian?! You don't talk to me about anything, and you keep your plans to yourself; I don't have a say in anything. Who made you the leader of this team, Lucian?! Or do you think that you deserve to be the leader because of your title as the villain?"

Lucian was stunned. 'Where is this coming from?' he thought. 'How long has she been keeping thoughts in her head?' He was angry at how little Luna thought of him; after all the battles they had faced together, she didn't trust him and thought of him as a blood-crazed murderer. Lucian thought of it; he couldn't blame himself for those he had killed. He had no choice and did what he had to in order to survive. He felt that Luna's accusations were unfair; she had a system that didn't try to erase her existence like a virus, a system magic that helped her grow in strength. All he had was a cheat skill, a broken skill that could steal from others to help in survival. 'There is nothing for me to be guilty of.' Lucian thought, hating how righteous Luna wants to appear when she wanted Morwen dead as much as he did. She had no right to accuse him of anything!

"You hypocritical woman," Lucian sneered, "you attempted to kill Morwen; if I didn't stop you, he would have died earlier than planned."

Luna felt a stab of guilt but kept her strong stance and folded her arms around her chest, glaring at Lucian through her wet bangs. "At least I didn't feed him to a demon."

Caius chuckled at the sight of Lucian and Luna quarreling among themselves.

Lucian and Luna stop when they notice Caius behind them. Lucian was pissed with Luna and how she was so blinded by her own pursuit for self-righteousness when it was so obvious about who was carrying out a chase. Besides, all the people he had killed were people who wanted to kill him; what was wrong with doing the same thing to them?

Caius felt like he was full of luck, suddenly seeing the villain, and to top it all off, the rain that was falling was a big advantage; it would make his water magic more powerful. He raised his hand with difficulty, finally paying attention to the heaviness in his bones. He had ignored it earlier, thinking that it was the tiredness he felt from running, but it was more than that. His legs couldn't move, and his hands he could still move with difficulty, but they were freezing up as well. Finally Caius was starting to understand what had happened to Kane, the rain.

"My body is starting to feel heavy again." Lucian let his hand fall at his side since Caius was no longer a threat. He wanted to take this chance to kill Caius so that he would never be a threat to him again, but with the accusations he just received from Luna, he decided not to harm Caius, at least for today.

"Mine too." Luna cast a double healing spell again.

'A healer.' Caius thought as he watched the magic circle that appeared in the air. He needs a healer in his team, but he remembered Luna from the start of the game, the weird goth girl everyone avoided. The thought of recruiting someone like her was depressing, but he still needed a healer. Caius comforted himself with another duty Luna will be carrying out in his team, and that was to satisfy his urge; he would have to change her clothes for that because she was too covered up. Luna was lean, but there was still that feminine curve that he liked, not enough for him to make Luna his full-time toy, but enough to manage until he gets himself a proper female that could satisfy his dirty needs. He thought that compared to Marta, Luna was someone he could describe as a girl even though her breast wasn't impressive; it was almost flat, but save by grace, it wasn't. And her face. He needed to avoid her face, so he was going to make her wear a mask because she gave out a natural creepy look. Caius wouldn't have considered the thought of touching Luna in any provocative way if he wasn't a slave to his own lustful desires.

'Where are they going?!' Caius shouted in his mind. He couldn't move his frozen mouth and was surprised to see Lucian and Luna walk away from him without harming him, although the glance Lucian threw his way made him know that he hated his decision.

Caius remained frozen until the rain stopped and the water on his skin was completely dry; only then did he become free from his toxic restraints. Not just him, but Kane as well. They both silently head back to their hideout. Caius felt ashamed for being unable to do anything when he saw Lucian.

"Remember." Caius said to his teammates, who were gathered around him, "Don't kill the girl; only harm the villain and make him unable to move. I will be the one who will be delivering the final blow."

Luna squinted her eyes and peeked through the gap between her fingers as she stared at the two suns in the sky. "There is nothing normal about this place." She sighed; she had hoped that outside the dungeon would make her life easier, but after the rain experience, she was starting to doubt that.

Lucian jumped down from a tree; he had been scouting around the area to check if there was any other team following them or if there was any other team out there they needed to be wary of. "I can't say that I know the right way to go." He turned to Luna with a strong expression. They were both still angry with each other from the quarrel they had earlier. "I think we should go this way, or do you have any ideas you would like to input?" He asked sarcastically, expecting her to say no.

"Yes." Luna said, "I'm not going. anywhere with you."
