My Childhood Sweetheart Is a Crazy Beauty Chapter 504

Capítulo 504: Chapter 504: Isn’t it Embarrassing?

Tang Chuxia had no idea where to go and could only ask Third Grandpa to make it clear.

But all Third Grandpa said was, “You’ll know it in time. If I just tell you the answer now, wouldn’t I be depriving myself of a lot of fun?”

This old man is somewhat excessive!

Still, Tang Chuxia couldn’t make Third Grandpa simply spill it and could only say in frustration, “Fine, I’m not curious, but there’s definitely more to Wu Yue’s matter!”

Third Grandpa threw her a line, “Let nature take its course. Why think so much?”

On reflection, Tang Chuxia felt there was some truth to that, so she simply stopped thinking about it. What she needed to worry about first was the funeral arrangements for tomorrow.

“Third Grandpa, may I ask you something? Is my dad really the only son of my grandparents?”

It certainly didn’t seem so, seeing as not many would faint at the sight of their parents’ skeletal remains.

Third Grandpa had clearly thought of Father Tang’s embarrassing behavior and said helplessly, “As much as I hate to admit it, your grandparents had only one son. But strictly speaking, there should be a daughter as well, only she was lost when she was very young!”

That event was from a bygone era, and it happened during years of famine; there was simply nowhere to even begin searching.

Everyone presumed the child was dead.

After chatting with Third Grandpa for a while, Tang Chuxia stole some edible insects he was raising and ran off, annoying Third Grandpa to the point of stamping his feet, “You little wretch, don’t let me catch you!”

Meaning, if she were caught, she’d be in for a serious scolding.

Tang Chuxia wasn’t afraid, though. Third Grandpa was very kind to her and would never dream of laying a hand on her.

However, as she sauntered into Second Grandma’s house, she presented a plateful of bean weevils, “Second Grandma, here’s an extra dish for your dinner tonight!”

Nothing was more disdained by Second Grandma than the insects raised by Third Grandpa, but she was also a meat-craver. Upon seeing a plate full of plump bugs, she wasn’t angry but said in a displeased tone, “The next time you go to Third Grandpa’s house, don’t bother coming to mine!”

These two had indeed nursed a grudge for many years.

Tang Chuxia chuckled, “Alright, I’ll definitely visit Second Grandma first next time. Today, it was just that I had something for Third Grandpa to do.”

Second Grandma didn’t care if Tang Chuxia was telling the truth or not and simply called her in to talk.

As for Father Tang, he twitched involuntarily when he saw the bugs Tang Chuxia had brought.

He didn’t like insects, nor did he want to eat them.

Second Grandma was very kind to Father Tang, treating him as if he were her own son.

She had probably spoiled him from a very young age, causing Father Tang to unconsciously seek to trouble Tang Chuxia.

“Second Aunt, look at this girl, she’s grown up and yet she has no sense of propriety. Shouldn’t she be scolded properly?”

Father Tang’s implication was clear, but in Second Grandma’s eyes, this matter wasn’t worth fussing over. Annoyed, she retorted, “How old are you, to be scared of disciplining your own daughter? Isn’t that shameful?”

Tang Chuxia certainly didn’t like hearing that. No matter how she tried to please Second Grandma, it was useless; the woman was only interested in defending Father Tang. Even being a woman herself, she always treated men as treasures.

These old folks really needed a talking-to.

And Tang Chuxia wasn’t one to indulge her.

“Dad, when you talk about me, think about how you fainted at the sight of Grandma and Grandpa’s bones. I was the one who helped you retrieve their remains. Instead of being grateful that I went to such a terrifying place and thought of collecting their bones, how can you even call yourself a dad?”

Father Tang, being pointedly questioned by Tang Chuxia, was on the verge of losing face and replied irritably, “Tang Chuxia, I am your father!”

Tang Chuxia shrugged. “If you weren’t my dad, do you think you’d still be here?”

Father Tang was stumped.

“You little girl, how do you talk to your dad like that? Doesn’t your mom teach you?” Second Grandma asked Tang Chuxia accusingly, but Tang Chuxia pointed at Father Tang, “Everyone says, ‘If the child is untaught, the father is at fault.’ My dad’s right here, so you can’t blame my mom. After all, I take after my dad!”

Tang Chuxia wouldn’t let Second Grandma get away with anything, not giving her an inch. Check latest chapters at 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍

Second Grandma was infuriated.

She really disliked the sharp-tongued Tang Chuxia.

Why did this child, who was so sweet when she was little, become more unmanageable as she grew up?

Father Tang scolded Tang Chuxia, “How can you speak like that? Second Grandma is criticizing you, she is an elder, and you should listen!”

Tang Chuxia snorted, “Dad, you’re old enough to know better, yet here you are tattling. What would others think if they knew about this? You’re so soft-eared that you let another woman swindle you out of fifty thousand yuan, and you don’t even dare tell mom. Do you know how many families can come up with that kind of money nowadays? Have you told Second Grandma?”

This statement was a bombshell; Second Grandma found it hard to breathe.

Second Grandma’s voice trembled.

Tang Chuxia knew the amount would shock Second Grandma and immediately declared, “Second Grandma, fifty thousand yuan, a whole US$ 50,000. If I hadn’t found out, my dad would’ve kept it a secret from our whole family. My mom works so hard to support the family, and yet my dad takes that money to support another woman!”

Tattling indeed, but one must know how to tattle effectively.

After making her point, Tang Chuxia winked at Father Tang.

Father Tang felt his heart start to ache.

Was this really his daughter?

Had she come specifically to anger him?

Second Grandma sat down with a thud but quickly scrambled up, looking around for something. Father Tang sensed something was amiss but didn’t know what Second Grandma was up to. However, Tang Chuxia seemed to understand Second Grandma much better.

“Second Grandma, the broom is over here!”

She handed a bamboo broom to Second Grandma, who weighed it in her hand; it was a bit heavy.

Tang Chuxia immediately substituted it with a lighter bamboo pole.

This one was lighter and easier to wield.

Second Grandma, satisfied, grabbed the bamboo pole and chased after Father Tang.

“I’ll beat you to death, you little rascal, your ancestors can barely get by, and here you are throwing money around. Fifty thousand yuan, not fifty cents, how could you cough up so much?”

Second Grandma chased Father Tang, beating him, while Tang Chuxia watched as Second Grandma’s daughter-in-law exterminated insects for her, shouting, “Second Grandma, that money was conned from my mom by my dad; he used his legitimate wife’s money to pamper his mistress!”

This struck a nerve with Second Grandma.

There was a story behind it.

It all traces back to Second Grandma’s man, Tang Chuxia’s Second Grandpa, a notorious womanizer who spent the money Second Grandma had saved for her son’s marriage on a young widow. This nearly led Second Grandma to chop off Second Grandpa’s lineage!

So you see, the issue with Father Tang this time really hit a sore spot.
