“Congratulations on successfully awakening your battle spirit,” Qin Hongyu said with a smile, giving Fu Tian a friendly pat on the back.
“Congratulations for what? It’s merely a low-level battle spirit, and I’ve been placed in Class D,” Fu Tian lamented with a dejected expression.
“Low-level battle spirit? They simply don’t recognize its value. I see strength in your battle spirit; who knows, it might even become a Supreme Spirit someday!” Qin Hongyu said cheerfully, unfazed.
“Thanks for trying to cheer me up. I’m not as fragile as you might think. I find my little turtle quite adorable, and I’m quite fond of him,” Fu Tian replied with a smile, gently stroking the Tortoise Spirit cradled in his arms.
The Tortoise Spirit seemed to relish Fu Tian’s touch, purring contentedly.
Qin Hongyu’s belief that others failed to see the Tortoise Spirit’s potential wasn’t just to console Fu Tian. He had seen all the evolutionary paths of the Solid System Tortoise Spirit, which to him resembled a complex, sprawling tree, each evolutionary stage branching off in its own direction.
While most Solid System Tortoise Spirits could only evolve to their complete body, and the Ultimate Body was exceedingly rare, there was one evolutionary path that stood out, leading to the existence of a Supreme Spirit!
It was common knowledge that all of Geaster’s Holy Spirits were the stuff of legends. Each one was a national treasure, seldom seen by the public eye.
“Rip? Is that the name you’ve chosen for your battle spirit?” Qin Hongyu inquired with a grin.
“Yes, this Tortoise Spirit reminds me of a goofy turtle, all lazy and laid-back. So, I figured ‘Little Eight’ suited him perfectly,” Fu Tian said, lifting the Tortoise Spirit from his lap and examining him with affection.
“Next up, Qin Hongyu.”
Just then, the call from the teacher echoed from the stage.
“It’s your turn now. Here’s hoping you don’t end up in my class,” Fu Tian said with a smile, having heard the summons.
Qin Hongyu strode toward the stage’s “Awakening Array,” his nerves undeniable. This moment was pivotal, as it would decide if he could become a Battle Spirit Fighter, a role that would shape his destiny.
“Ready? Once you are, I’ll initiate the Awakening Array,” prompted the teacher overseeing the awakening.
“I’m ready!” Qin Hongyu inhaled deeply and responded.
The Awakening Array began to hum to life, and Qin Hongyu felt an enigmatic force unlocking something within him, sending a tingling current cascading through his body.
His vision started to blur, and he thought he saw a vague green figure. Yet every time he tried to focus, the figure shimmered and shifted, eluding clarity.
Meanwhile, the teacher supervising the awakening stood agape. Qin Hongyu was enveloped in a sphere of purple lightning, while the white orb above his head shone with an intense glare, all amidst the snapping sounds of electricity.
“This… This is the awakening of a Thunder Battle Spirit!” the teacher exclaimed, awestruck.
