“Really?” Ye Qilan tried to detect any signs of deceit on Su Hongxing’s face. “You just spent nearly ten minutes in the restroom…”
“Your mention of it makes me want to go again.” Su Hongxing replied, going back into the restroom and locking the door, leaving Ye Qilan on the outside.
Liu Qingyin was waiting outside, probably for half an hour. Seeing Ye Qilan finally come out, she stuck her head in to check the room, then threatened in a whisper, “Ye Qilan, if I find you mistreating my sister again, I will fight you to the death!”
Ye Qilan gave her a glance; his dislike for Liu Qingyin only increased.
Since the first time he saw Liu Qingyin, he couldn’t form any liking towards her, even though she looked very similar to Su Hongxing, even their laughs were similar.
Upon making sure Ye Qilan had gone downstairs, the first thing Liu Qingyin did when she entered the room was to try and lock the door. After searching for a while, she realized she couldn’t.
She left the door slightly ajar, just in case anyone tried to barge in or eavesdrop.
“Ye Qilan is suspicious, sis. How long do you think you can hide your pregnancy from him whilst under his scrutinizing gaze?”
Su Hongxing silently looked at Liu Qingyin.
Liu Qingyin was usually carefree, yet now she spoke earnestly and wisely. At first glance, she didn’t seem like a girl who hadn’t even reached her 17th birthday.
She didn’t know what experiences Liu Qingyin had had, but judging by the various scars on Liu Qingyin’s body, she guessed that Liu Qingyin must have been through some unpleasant events.
“Hide it for as long as possible,” Su Hongxing replied quietly.
She had already planned an escape, from the moment she had told Ye Qilan that she had slept with Beichuan on the third day of August, she had been scheming.
At any cost, she wouldn’t let Ye Qilan know that she was carrying the Ye Family’s heir.
“I think you won’t be able to hide it for long. Ye Qilan is a savvy businessman. You weren’t aware, but while you were in the restroom, he was eavesdropping behind the door, he may be suspecting something right now.”
“From the sound of your voice, it seems like you have a plan?” Su Hongxing glanced at Liu Qingyin.
Liu Qingyin was ‘touching’ Su Hongxing’s belly and suddenly paused: “Sis’s baby will be very beautiful if it’s born. But if it becomes a burden, we shouldn’t keep it. What do you say?”
Liu Qingyin’s expression was gentle, but her words held a hint of ruthlessness.
Su Hongxing looked at Liu Qingyin and remained silent.
Liu Qingyin gave a thin-lipped smile: “Even if you don’t say it, sis, I know you wouldn’t want to bear a child for such a scumbag like Ye Qilan. But you’ve been lonely for so long, and this child is a part of you, connected to you by flesh and blood. You can’t bring yourself to dispose of this yet unformed being.”
“Qingyin, are you really my sister?” Su Hongxing murmured faintly.
Liu Qingyin seemed as though she hadn’t heard Su Hongxing’s words and continued: “So you still haven’t decided if you want to bear this child? Now, in the hands of Ye Qilan, if he knows that you are carrying his child, you will never be able to get away from him. The fact that you are pregnant cannot be hidden forever, so there’s only one way out for you. You must make Ye Qilan believe this child is Beichuan’s. In this way, the life or death of this child will be at Ye Qilan’s mercy.”
As she speaks, she chuckles softly as if recalling something amusing: “If Ye Qilan ends up killing his own flesh and blood, wouldn’t you find that satisfying?”
