Cao Shiyu was also present and on hearing these words, immediately exchanged glances with Ye Ling.
Understanding her intention, Ye Ling took Old Ye’s arm: “Grandfather, what I heard yesterday was not …”
“Ye Ling, shut up! If you dare to say one more word, I will make sure you lose your ability to speak forever.” Ye Qilan glared at Ye Ling, his eyes were full of warning.

Upon hearing these words, Su Hongxing was filled with distress: “I just had a health check-up two days ago, I’m absolutely alright.”
Just the night before, she had told Old Ye to come over alone. How would she have known that Du Qingyu and Cao Shiyu would also show up?
She even suspected that Ye Ling might have eavesdropped on her conversation with Liu Qingyin yesterday and then told Cao Shiyu about it.
Presumably Cao Shiyu had since joined forces with Du Qingyu, hence Du Qingyu now also knew that the child in her womb was Beichuan’s.
