“Stay away from me, I don’t want to see your face!” Su Hongxing said, turning her back to him.
It wasn’t long before she fell into a deep sleep.
Ye Qilan couldn’t relax leaving Su Hongxing alone, nor could he bear the thought of other men in her room, so in the end, he chose to sleep on the floor.
He told himself it didn’t matter, at least she was by his side. They had a lifetime ahead to slowly smooth things over.
The night passed peacefully.
Su Hongxing didn’t get up until 10:30 in the morning. After freshening up, she went downstairs for food.
Two men followed closely behind her, never leaving her side.
Ye Qilan, seeing Su Hongxing laughing and talking with the two men, felt a surge of anger and jealousy.
He nearly rushed forward to pull Su Hongxing away from the men.
Of course, in the end, he did nothing but sat elegantly in his place, waving to Su Hongxing, “I’ve made your favorite dish, come.”
But Su Hongxing walked away, instructing the two men, “I’m having lunch outside, bring me the food.”
The two men exchanged a glance, then followed Su Hongxing’s instructions.
Ye Qilan didn’t know what game Su Hongxing was playing.
He was somewhat humiliated being ignored by Su Hongxing, but he couldn’t help wanting to know what she was up to.
Watching the two men attentively serving Su Hongxing ten minutes later, he almost found himself out of breath.
He rushed forward, grabbing the napkin from one man’s hand and pushing him aside. He similarly pushed the man who was massaging Su Hongxing away, “Get lost, all of you!”
The two men were about to leave when Su Hongxing stopped them, “You are my men. If I don’t let you go, you can’t leave.”
As she said this, she was looking at Ye Qilan, obviously directing her words at him.
Ye Qilan stared back at Su Hongxing. After a long period of silent confrontation, he finally spoke in a quiet voice, “What do you want exactly? You don’t have to demean yourself even if you want to take revenge on me.”
With elegance, Su Hongxing wiped the corner of her lips with the napkin, “I’m not toying with them or demeaning myself. They only serve my meal, there’s no hand-holding, hugging, or kissing. Ye Qilan, I’m not like you, I don’t sleep with someone just because they’ve chased after me. Do not try to lecture me, you have no right!”
Ye Qilan was at a loss for words, blockaded by Su Hongxing’s retort.
“What are you guys standing there for? I didn’t hire you to be wallflowers. If you do well, I might even reward you with a kiss!” Su Hongxing said, intentionally glancing towards Ye Qilan.
Ye Qilan realized she was just trying to upset him, yet he couldn’t react outrightly.
Clenching his teeth, he declared, “I will serve you; the two of you can go rest.”
If Su Hongxing was considering giving a rewarding kiss, it would have to be him.
This time, Su Hongxing did not send him away.
Subsequently, he found himself hustling around as she ordered him about, unable to catch a break.
By the time they finished the lunch, it was past noon.
Seeing Su Hongxing making no signs of acknowledgment, Ye Qilan boldly reminded her, “You said earlier, a good service would get a rewarding kiss…”
“Your service was disappointing!!” Su Hongxing interrupted Ye Qilan.
Unaffected by Ye Qilan’s disappointed expression, she continued, “These two men aren’t good-looking. You should help me find some better-looking ones. The rest is secondary, as long as they are attractive.”
