Her change in addressing Cao Zhen perplexed both Ye Qilan and Liu Qingyin.

With a face full of delight, Cao Zhen replied, “I will come to see you again in a few days. Stop overthinking things. If something comes up, call me, alright?”
“Understood.” Su Hongxing took Cao Zhen’s arm and smiled, it had been long since she had last grinned, “I’ll walk you out of the Qingmu Garden”.
Cao Zhen patted her head lightly and the two walked downstairs, engaged in cheerful conversation.
Su Hongxing watched Cao Zhen’s car drive far, she turned back and saw Liu Qingyin and Ye Qilan looking at her.
“Sis, what did Uncle Cao say to you? Will you tell me, please?” Liu Qingyin asked, expressing what Ye Qilan had wanted to know too.
There was a noticeable difference in Su Hongxing. She was unusually upbeat, unlike her attitude before the conversation with Cao Zhen.
They just couldn’t figure out what could have been said during the talk with Cao Zhen to cause such a change in Su Hongxing’s demeanor.
“He told me to take care of myself”, paused Su Hongxing, “and… other things.” She shook her head, “It’s nothing. Let’s go back in, it’s windy out here.”
Su Hongxing quickly retreated to Qingmu Garden.
Ye Qilan stopped Liu Qingyin, whispering: “Try to find out what exactly she and Cao Zhen discussed.”
Liu Qingyin laughed at him and shook off: “Are we that close?”
“Don’t you also want to know what they discussed?” responded Ye Qilan, adding, “If Cao Zhen and Su Hongxing don’t tell you about something, it proves that they don’t consider you as family.”
Liu Qingyin was losing her temper over this issue, and Ye Qilan was deliberately adding fuel to the fire.
Instead of getting angry, she laughed, “Still better than some people, who are considered garbage by my sister, not even worth recycling!”
Ye Qilan was disturbed by her words; they ignited his anger, but at the same time, left him powerless.
After Liu Qingyin left, Age came over to Ye Qilan to say, “Sir, you haven’t attended to the company’s affairs for quite a while now.”
Since the incident with Su Hongxing, almost half a month had passed with Ye Qilan devoting all his time to her.
