As soon as Su Hongxing finished speaking, she almost bit her own tongue.
She clearly wanted to deny it, but in her haste, she misspoke. She didn’t know whether it was too late to deny it now or not.
Ye Qilan stared at Su Hongxing for a good while, his gaze resting on her bright and clear eyes, then it dropped lower, finally landing on the faintly visible view on her chest.
Su Hongxing belatedly realized that her current outfit was very inappropriate. She was about to move further away from Ye Qilan when he suddenly took off his suit jacket and draped it over her, tightening it around her: “Girls should cherish their bodies.”
Su Hongxing didn’t know how to respond.
Despite the same face, Ye Qilan seemed to have become a different person.
“What’s your name?” Just as Su Hongxing was lost in thought staring at the jacket she was draped in, she heard Ye Qilan ask.
She was stunned for a moment, unsure of what name she should give.
After a long while, she gasped out two words, her voice barely audible as she replied, “Mianmian.”
Ye Qilan stared at Su Hongxing’s white-as-jade face, somewhat absent-minded as he murmured, “Mian as in cotton?”
“Hmm.” Su Hongxing took two steps back, standing a bit further away from Ye Qilan.
She lowered her head to look at her shoes, wondering how to leave the women’s restroom, when Ye Qilan unexpectedly said to her, “Mianmian, I’ll take you out tonight.”
Su Hongxing was no longer surprised this time.
With Ye Qilan’s unconventional way of thinking, whatever he did seemed to make sense.
“I don’t go out with people.” Su Hongxing replied with a rough voice, somewhat irritated.
Ye Qilan gave Su Hongxing a fleeting glance, “You have two choices. One, go out with me. Two, go with me to the Hongxing Pavilion.”
After saying that, he exited the restroom first.
Su Hongxing stood on the spot, extremely frustrated.
When Ye Qilan asked her if she was a public relations representative of The Red House, why did she leave out the word ‘not’? Wasn’t that like shooting herself in the foot?
She looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Her current looks were very different from the Su Hongxing of three years ago. Her face used to be round with a lot of fat; her facial features were all sunk into the flesh and not prominent at all.
Now she was thin, with a face shape that was currently popular. Her features were actually quite remarkable.
She knew she had a beautiful face, usually catching the attention of passersby as she walked down the street.
Her old appearance was drastically different from her current face, so it was understandable if Ye Qilan couldn’t recognize her as Su Hongxing, right?
Despite trying to convince herself, she still felt confused.
Ye Qilan was very patient though, waiting outside without hurrying her.
Finally, she left the restroom at a snail’s pace. Ye Qilan gave her a faint glance, then took the lead and walked ahead.
She followed Ye Qilan leisurely, weaving and winding on the path. She had no idea where he was headed and simply followed quietly.
After approximately ten minutes, she followed Ye Qilan to a private parking lot.
Ye Qilan opened the car door for her first. She hesitated, looking at him. He lightly patted her head, “Get in.”
Su Hongxing really didn’t understand what Ye Qilan was doing.
If Ye Qilan recognized her, he wouldn’t be talking to her so calmly, would he?
If he didn’t recognize her, was it because he was attracted by her beauty that he wanted to take her out?
After all, her current face was indeed the type that men would like.
Feeling that she was dragging her feet too much, Ye Qilan suddenly picked her up horizontally. She gasped in surprise, subconsciously grabbing his shirt, only to find herself looking right into his dark ink-like eyes.
