Ye Qilan placed Little Pudding on the sofa, glanced at his wristwatch and said, “I’m expecting an important guest later. I’m very busy and I’m afraid I don’t have time to accompany you to the police station. If you have any questions, ask them here. The person you are talking about is present.”
He looked at Little Pudding, who was playing happily.
The little girl was smart, she quickly mastered the intellectual toys she played with.

The records showed that Madam Lan didn’t have a son; thus, Little Pudding couldn’t possibly be her biological granddaughter but must be an adopted child.
Not long after, several men in suits entered. Ye Qilan introduced them to Officer Li, “This is my legal team, I’m not very familiar with legal knowledge, they can speak to Officer Li more persuasively.”
Seeing the few legal elites lined up in front of him, Officer Li turned a bit pale.
All of these men were well-known legal elites. Any case they took on, they would win. And now, all of them were working for Ye Qilan?
Ye Qilan then excused himself from the conversation, citing work constraints and let his legal team deal with Officer Li.
Even one of these lawyers could outtalk Officer Li effortlessly, let alone several of them taking turns to bombard him.
After several hours, Officer Li felt as if his brain had been washed, and he almost began to believe that Ye Qilan was the only family Little Pudding had.
Su Hongxing was waiting outside the meeting room for several hours, finally, she saw Officer Li come out.
She rushed up to him and asked anxiously, “Officer Li, how is the case progressing?”
Officer Li only thought of Su Hongxing as Ye Qilan’s accomplice trying to gloat at his predicament, so he replied sternly, “Miss Su, I’d advise Mr. Ye to do more good deeds.”
He had only heard of abduction, but now he was witnessing child abduction happening before his eyes.
Su Hongxing felt a chill when she heard Officer Li’s words. “Didn’t we report it to the police? Shouldn’t you, as the police, return the child to their rightful guardian?”
Officer Li was taken aback. From Su Hongxing’s tone, it seemed she did not agree with Ye Qilan’s method of abducting the child?
His spirit was suddenly lifted, and he whispered, “Miss Su, can you testify in court that Little Pudding is not Mr. Ye’s child if needed?”
“She’s not his to begin with. Aren’t there a lot of people who could testify to that?” Su Hongxing seemed anxious.
Could it be as Ye Qilan had said; as long as he was willing, anyone would testify that Little Pudding was his child?
