Su Wan stopped washing her hands. Accompanied by the sound of water flowing, Su Wan asked, “What do you need me to help you with?”
“I’ll arrange a place for you to stay. Someone will be in charge of your daily life. The only bad thing is that it might restrict your freedom. I’ll use looking for you as an excuse and delay Bai Lian’s marriage. At the very least, I can delay it until the day your medicine expires.”
Jing Chen felt that this was a good idea, but Su Wan had to pay a price.
But compared to Lin Yu living opposite her, Jing Chen was more willing to accept his proposal. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Su Wan saw through his thoughts and sneered. “If you’re jealous of Lin Yu, you don’t have to go to such lengths. I’m not going to stay with Mom, but I can move to another place.”
“What if Bai Lian still finds trouble with you? I’m very worried about you.” Jing Chen still hoped that Su Wan’s movements could be controlled by him.
Su Wan was even less worried. “Don’t come to see me again. I promise I’ll live better than anyone else.”
This was really the truth.
But Jing Chen did not fall for it. He lowered his eyes and said coquettishly, “I can’t control my feelings. I can’t control my desire to look for you.”
Su Wan’s heart trembled. She was obviously shocked by Jing Chen’s reaction and the empty space in her heart was filled.
Jing Chen said that he couldn’t control his feelings for her. Even if she couldn’t tell if this was true or not, it still worked on Su Wan.
She pretended to be calm and looked up at Jing Chen, but her eyes were evasive. “There are many things that go wrong in life. It’s better to accept it calmly.”
“Do I have a choice? Wan wan, are you willing to promise me?” Jing Chen walked behind her and reached out to hug her.
In front of his tall figure, Su Wan looked petite and thin. She was completely enveloped by him.
Jing Chen lowered his body and buried himself in Su Wan’s neck, craving the smell that belonged to her, waiting for her answer.
Su Wan’s entire body froze. She had yet to wipe her hands after washing them and they were frozen in front of her. She seemed to be at a loss, so her mind naturally stopped working.
Jing Chen waited for a long time but Su Wan did not reply.
He raised his head and rested his chin on Su Wan’s head.
“Do you have any concerns? Tell me, let’s think of a solution together, okay?” Jing Chen’s voice seemed to be bewitching. It was like a throbbing little flame dancing in Su Wan’s heart.
Every move could affect Su Wan’s emotions.
Su Wan’s breathing gradually quickened, especially after Jing Chen hugged her. Jing Chen noticed that. Not only did he not let go, but he also hugged her even tighter.
A voice shouted in Su Wan’s mind. No matter what, she and Jing Chen could not do such an intimate thing because of their current relationship.
“Let go of me first. Jing Chen, I can help you. If what you’re saying is true and my illness hasn’t healed, you’re the one who’s helping me. I should thank you and listen to you unconditionally, but I can’t stand your deception already, do you understand?”
Su Wan’s words were a little heavy, and her expression was serious.
Hearing that there was hope, Jing Chen was so happy that the corners of his mouth cracked open. He quickly said, “I understand.”
Su Wan couldn’t finish her sentence. Although she didn’t move, she criticized Jing Chen for hugging her. “Just like what you’re doing to me now. If the person you like isn’t me but someone else, then you’re lying to me. The prerequisite for not lying is that you don’t do such intimate things anymore.”
“I’m not lying to you,” Jing Chen blurted out without hesitation.
It was so fast that Su Wan was stunned.
She did not expect Jing Chen to be so sure.
This made Su Wan seem even more sensitive, making her feel that she had spoken too harshly.
Su Wan felt bad, so she naturally made up for it with her actions. After wiping her hands which were almost dry with her clothes, she caressed Jing Chen’s hand in response to his hug.
