Shen Hanxiu gave a few instructions over the phone, hung up without getting out of the car, and sat inside, staring at his own front door.

Liang Yizhou smiled faintly: “As long as she is happy. If you can’t make her happy, of course, I’ll take her away.”
Shen Hanxiu sneered mockingly: “What Mr. Liang means is, you can provide what she wants?”
Shen Hanxiu let out another cold laugh: “How much do you know about our issues? When I met her, she was only five years old. Do you think you understand better than me what she wants?”
“Time may indeed foster understanding between two people, but it can also create a generation gap. I think Mr. Shen maybe doesn’t understand her completely.”
Shen Hanxiu’s face darkened, did he just imply that he was too old and not a match for Su Nian?!
Without letting Shen Hanxiu have the last word, Liang Yizhou nodded in farewell: “Excuse me, Liang Mo will take his leave now.”
Watching Liang Yizhou’s car drive away, Shen Hanxiu remained unsettled for a long time.
Su Zhen’s call was not as jubilant as usual but unusually subdued. Shen Hanxiu turned around upon hearing her and saw Su Nian holding Su Zhen in one hand and dragging a suitcase with the other, with Su Bao following them, his hands full as well.
“Uncle Shen… I’m going to go back.”
Shen Hanxiu’s face grew even darker, he took Su Zhen into his arms, frowning at Su Nian with a questioning tone: “Go where?”
“We’ve troubled you for some time, and Zhenzhen has almost recovered. We’ll head back now. I’ll come back for the rest of the things tomorrow.”
