Chapter 29: Chapter 29 Uncle Liang Will Be Coming Over Later
Hearing this voice, for a moment, everyone in the office who had their heads down working shifted their gaze to the source of the sound.
The department head frowned, about to say who was so unruly as to bring children to the company, but when he reached the entrance, he saw their Boss Shen walking in with a little girl, with a little boy standing behind at the door.
The department head quickly nodded and bowed, “President Shen, hello! Is there anything you need?”
Shen Hanxiu’s face was indifferent as he instructed, “You go ahead with your work.” Then his gaze fell onto Su Nian in the corner and raised his voice slightly, “Accountant Su, come to my office for a moment.”
Su Zhen, holding one hand of Shen Hanxiu, was fervently waving the other hand at Su Nian, calling in a suppressed voice: “Mom.”
Seeing the adorable twin siblings as well as their handsome and intimidating Boss Shen, quite a few colleagues had already sneakily pulled out their phones to take photos.
Even though everyone now knew about the relationship between Shen Hanxiu and her, Su Nian still felt embarrassed with everyone’s gaze on her as she walked out, giving Shen Hanxiu a glare before leading the children quickly away from the office entrance.
“Mom, Uncle Shen said he’s going to take us to eat giant shrimp later.”
Su Nian glared at Shen Hanxiu again, blaming him for bringing the children to the company without permission. Now that he’s a hot topic in the news, she didn’t want the children to get involved.
She reached out to carry Su Zhen and said, “Tonight mom will make you sweet and sour ribs, we won’t go eat giant shrimp.” She paused then added, “Also, next time if it’s not mom picking you up, you can’t just follow a stranger.”
“But Uncle isn’t a stranger…”
“If mom says he is, then he is. If he sold you off, you would never see mom and your brother again.” Su Nian knew that Su Zhen liked Shen Hanxiu but feared he might have ulterior motives towards the children, so she had to be cautious.
Su Zhen nodded reluctantly, half understanding.
Shen Hanxiu was walking behind them and didn’t refute Su Nian’s words.
Su Bao turned to look at Shen Hanxiu then ran to Su Nian and said, “Mom, Uncle Liang is coming over later.”
Su Nian was startled, and so was Shen Hanxiu, his brows slightly furrowed. Uncle Liang? Is that Liang Yizhou?
Shen Hanxiu remained silent, calculating in his mind, while Su Nian asked, “He’s coming over soon?”
“Mm, he called me, and I gave him the address, he should be arriving soon.”
Su Zhen said happily, “That’s great! Uncle Liang can make delicious food for us in the future!”
Su Nian pinched her little nose, “Is the food mom makes that bad?”
Su Zhen leaned on Su Nian’s shoulder and asked Shen Hanxiu, “Uncle Shen, do you think the food my mom makes is tasty?”
Shen Hanxiu looked at Su Nian and answered indifferently, “It’s passable.”
“Then when Uncle Liang arrives later, you eat what Uncle Liang makes! It’s really delicious!”
A faint shadow fell over Shen Hanxiu’s face, so Liang Yizhou actually knew how to cook? Maybe it was time he also signed up for a cooking class?
In the middle of their conversation, they reached Shen Hanxiu’s office, where Su Zhen scooted off and started running around.
Su Bao stuck closely to Su Nian, constantly on guard against Shen Hanxiu.
Shen Hanxiu took the initiative and asked, “Zhenzhen, have you done your homework?”
“I don’t want to do it now.”
“Come here, let Su Bao help you with it. Uncle and your mom have to wait a while before getting off work. Once you finish, we can go eat giant shrimp.”
Upon hearing about eating giant shrimp, Su Zhen then took out her homework, and with a pout, let Su Bao teach her.
The two children took out their homework and sat down at the small table next to the floor-to-ceiling window; Shen Hanxiu thoughtfully brought a desk lamp over to the children and then returned to his own desk to discuss work with Su Nian.
In reality, it was all trivial matters; he was just looking for an excuse to have her keep him company.
