Yang Zichen paused as he saw the scene in front of the desk, then pushed his glasses and cleared his throat.
Embarrassed, Su Nian got off him, “About the recruitment thing…”
Before Su Nian could finish, Shen Hanxiu said, “Let’s talk about it tonight.”
Su Nian pursed her lips, turned, and went downstairs, knowing that this Old Demon won’t be so easily fooled.
After Su Nian left, Shen Hanxiu looked up at Yang Zichen who had interrupted him and asked, “What is it?”
“I need to take leave, half a month, for my wedding.” Yang Zichen stated simply and clearly.
Shen Hanxiu buried his head back into the documents, “At most one week.”
Shen Hanxiu raised an eyebrow: “Fine, it’s paid, but only for one week.”
Yang Zichen also nodded: “Okay then.” Then he turned and left the office.
Seeing how straightforward he was, Shen Hanxiu felt the frustration of having fallen into his scheme.
Su Nian returned to her office and buried herself in work; she had been overwhelmingly busy lately.
Lifting her eyes from a pile of numbers, she stretched lazily, feeling her mind in disarray.
“Sister Niannian, do you want to watch a movie together tonight?”
Su Nian shook her head: “You go with Special Assistant Yang, why bring me along as a third wheel?”
Wei Lan glared at her: “If you’re coming, it’s to bring Mr. Shen and your Little Treasure along, the more the merrier!”
“Forget it, tonight I have things to do with Mr. Shen.”
Wei Lan looked at her suggestively: “What things? Making babies?”

After dinner and sorting out the kid’s nightly routine, Su Nian really felt her eyes could barely stay open, dizzy and weak all over.
She had never felt before; was it because of today’s workload?
When she went to Shen Hanxiu, he was sitting by the bedroom window working at his desk.
Su Nian walked over and asked, “Do you have a lot to do?”
He hummed indifferently, and just as Su Nian was about to discuss Jin Qiu’s issue, he immediately said, “But it won’t affect what we need to do later, you should prepare first.”
“I’m really tired today, can you just agree? Arrange a job for Qiuqiu in the PR department.”

Hearing her change in tone, Shen Hanxiu then turned his head to look at her.
She glared at him angrily, then turned and walked to the bed, pulling up the blanket and lying down, not wanting to speak.
Shen Hanxiu closed his laptop and went over, sitting on the edge of the bed: “What? Throwing a tantrum again?”
Su Nian didn’t speak, pulling the blanket up higher.
“Sure you want to keep silent?”
Su Nian remained motionless.
Shen Hanxiu didn’t speak again, lifted his feet onto the bed, pulled back the blanket and slid in, then turned off the bedside lamp.
“Can’t handle this bit of hardship? Should I hit you or scold you?”
Su Nian still didn’t speak, but inside she was hoping he would coax her.
“Let’s sleep if you’re not going to talk.”
Saying that, he really lay down facing away from her.
Su Nian flipped the blanket and seeing the back of his head nearly made her furious, she also turned her back fiercely, not knowing that the man was also waiting for her to embrace him.
Shen Hanxiu kept this position for a long time, and there was no movement from the woman behind him. When he turned his head again, she had already cocooned herself in the blanket and fallen asleep.
