Shen Hanxiu noticed Su Nian’s complexion change and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Su Bao said Su Zhen is missing!”
“Is she playing pranks again?”
“Drive faster, Su Bao said he’s been looking for a while and hasn’t found her.” Su Zhen isn’t as smart as Su Bao, what if she’s really gone?
Shen Hanxiu drove the car while passing his phone to Su Nian: “Call Yang Zijing.”
Yang Zijing was already near the cafe corner where he was supposed to meet Jin Qiu when Shen Hanxiu’s name popped up on his phone: “Big brother?”
It was Su Nian’s voice that answered: “Second Brother Yang, could you come to Sunshine Kindergarten?”
Yang Zijing spoke with difficulty: “Sister-in-law, I’m really busy right now…”
Before he could finish speaking, Shen Hanxiu’s voice came through from the other end: “You have five minutes.”
Yang Zijing hadn’t responded before the call was abruptly hung up, chilling him to the bone.

Right after he said it, Su Nian’s phone received a text message. She looked at it and made a shocked conclusion: “It’s her!”
The text read: Give me ten million for your daughter.
Then a bank account number was attached.
Without a second thought, Su Nian replied: Where is my daughter?
Shen Hanxiu took the phone, dialed the number, but the call was hung up, and then a photo appeared on the screen.
In the photo, Su Zhen’s eyes were closed, her head lopsided, her mouth sealed with black tape, tied to a chair, looking lifeless.
“That’s Zhenzhen!” Su Nian’s eyes reddened with urgency.
At that moment, Yang Zijing sent a message to Shen Hanxiu’s phone, who then turned to Su Nian and said, “You take your son home first.”
“No, I’m going with you.”
Shen Hanxiu stroked Su Nian’s head, looked down at Su Bao, and then said to Su Nian, “Be good, I’ll take care of our daughter; you take our son home and wait for news.”
Su Nian, with her eyes red, was reluctant to part from him, especially remembering the incident last time he killed Shen Rongjin; she was afraid that he would act irrationally and escalate the situation.
“Son, take Mom home.”
Unexpectedly, Su Bao was also disobedient: “I’ll go with you, let Mom go home.”
Shen Hanxiu looked at the mother and son, smiled helplessly, “You two wait here for now, I’ll send someone over to pick you up later, I’m going to meet Yang Zijing.”

The car headed towards the suburbs, under the night with no streetlights, only the area lit by the car’s headlights was visible; Su Nian looked around and asked, “Where are they?”
The driver respectfully replied, “Sister-in-law, we’ll be there soon.”
Su Nian looked around at only the mountain roads, unable to see any cars ahead or behind.
Have they arrived or did they not manage to follow?
