The sound of the collision drew Shen Hanxiu’s gaze, and turning his head, he saw Su Nian rubbing her forehead with slightly open eyes.
It seemed she had dozed off and bumped into the glass, Shen Hanxiu chuckled lightly.
Su Nian didn’t reply, finding him disagreeable no matter how she looked, and she turned to find a more comfortable position to sleep. But then, suddenly, an arm wrapped around her neck from behind, a hand on her shoulder exerting force to tip her body to the other side…
Her cheek pressed against something warm, it carried his scent, and right by her ear was his steady heartbeat, accompanied by his gentle voice, “Just sleep .”
Su Nian’s mind went blank for a moment, her heartbeat frighteningly fast, her face instantly blushed and burned with his body heat.
A posture that was once so normal now felt awkward, and the reaction hit Su Nian as she pushed him away, hurriedly blurting out, “I’m not sleepy!”
Shen Hanxiu’s mood inexplicably lifted at the sight of her shy and flustered state.
Su Nian sat upright and proper, not daring to show a hint of drowsiness any longer, she got up to wash her face with cold water in the restroom to wake herself up. When she returned, he had already ordered their meals, and just in time, as she felt hungry too.
After all the fuss, sleepiness was gone; she took out a fashion magazine to pass the time and as it happened, flipped to one of Liang Yizhou’s creations.
As she lost herself in thought, a voice reached her ears, “Can you stare at that figure for so long?”
Su Nian was startled and saw that the page she had flipped to featured a well-built European male model, dressed in a suit designed by Liang Yizhou, looking tall and slender. The only thing was, there was no shirt under the suit, revealing the model’s attractive abs.
After feeling bashful and annoyed, Su Nian responded to Shen Hanxiu’s comment, “Isn’t that a good physique?”
Unexpectedly, Shen Hanxiu replied right away, “You’ve touched my whole body, you know better.” His tone was light, his expression serious, as if he’s saying to Su Nian, “You’ve done the accounting, you know the numbers.”
Images of Shen Hanxiu dressing openly in front of her flashed through Su Nian’s mind; he indeed had the type of physique that looked thin when dressed but muscular when not, tall with good temperament, not a bit inferior to the male model in the picture.
“President Shen has a good figure, but even thicker skin!”
“So you’re saying I look good and have a great physique?”
Su Nian: “…” She clearly meant he was shameless, okay?
Su Nian closed the magazine in frustration and turned her gaze to the beautiful landscapes of the motherland outside the window. Soon, the announcement of their arrival filled the cabin.
They exited the airport past one in the afternoon, where a car was waiting for them, and they headed directly to the hotel that had been pre-booked.
A lone male and female traveling, Su Nian was on high alert, following Shen Hanxiu up to their floor.
As Shen Hanxiu unlocked the door, he told her, “Room 2606 on the 26th floor, don’t get it wrong.”
Su Nian looked at the room number and asked, “I’m staying here?”
Shen Hanxiu pushed open the door and corrected her, “We are staying here.”
Su Nian thought it might be one of those suites with several rooms, with Shen Hanxiu’s taste, at the very least a luxury suite with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a study, cinema, and a game room included.
Thus, Su Nian curiously peered in, then froze, thinking she must have seen wrong; there’s got to be a secret door in this room!
In her view, there was a single room, small but fully equipped… with just one bed!
The decor was lavish, in a European palace style, a desk by a French window, next to it an armchair matching the royal blue double bed, and outside the French window was the wide, blue sea…
Though the view was pleasant, how could the two of them stay in the same room?
This man was vain and shameless, even if he was a gentleman, he was still a man! How could they sleep on the same bed? Even if nothing happened, something might arise from it.
“President Shen, I’ll go downstairs and open another room; you can have this one to yourself.”
“What’s wrong? You think it’s not big enough?”
“Of course it’s big enough, so a big shot like President Shen can stay alone,” said Su Nian as she turned to leave.

“Who told you that you have to sleep with me?” he said, pointing to the armchair by the bed, “The boss sleeps on the bed, naturally you’ll be on the sofa. Or could it be Accountant Su wants to share the bed?”
