Yet Yuran was completely oblivious.
After closing the door to Bo Yan’s bedroom, she finally breathed a sigh of relief, straightened her clothes, and then went to open the door.
Standing outside was a disgruntled Xie Cheng, emanating a resentful aura, like a ghost, which startled Yuran. She greeted him in a cool tone, "Xie Cheng."
At the bottom of her heart, she felt relieved, let Xie Cheng in, and noticed that he was holding Bo Yan’s clothes. Right, she hadn’t seen Bo Yan the previous day and didn’t know whether he had left wearing the same clothes or not.
Had Xie Cheng been bringing over Bo Yan’s clothes the next day all this time?
Surveying the room and seeing no sign of Bo Yan, Xie Cheng asked, "Where’s Bo Yan?"
Without much thought, Yuran casually pointed towards the bedroom, "In the room."
Following the direction Yuran pointed, Xie Cheng’s demeanor immediately soured, "You two slept together?"
Yuran: "...No, we didn’t!"
Xie Cheng didn’t believe a word and pushed the clothes into Yuran’s arms, making his way straight to her bedroom. The few times he had come before, Bo Yan had never let him in. Today was the first time.
Though it wasn’t Bo Yan who had let him in, Xie Cheng realized the reason why Bo Yan hadn’t let him in before. So this guy had carnal thoughts and slept with Yuran?
He pushed open the door and saw Bo Yan standing by the window, towering and well-proportioned, with the light creating a halo around him, endowing him with a lazy and sinister charm that was quite tempting.
Bo Yan, thinking it was Yuran who came in, turned to see Xie Cheng’s volatile face and frowned, "What are you doing here?"
Xie Cheng closed the door behind him and circled Bo Yan, looking him up and down, trying to spot a kiss mark on his neck, but found nothing. Doubtful, he stood beside Bo Yan and said earnestly, "Bo Yan, you really slept with Yuran?"
How could you be so reckless? To sleep with Yuran?
Bo Yan’s pupils dilated abruptly, his eyes narrowed coldly, "Who told you that I slept with Yuran?"
Xie Cheng wore a look that said you think I’m a fool, glancing at the messy bedcovers, he bit back, "Are you blind, can’t you see for yourself? Those previous times, you didn’t let me in because Yuran was still in your bed, right?"
"I never realized you could be so despicable," Bo Yan said with contempt.
"I’m despicable?" Xie Cheng’s eyes twitched, hardly believing what he was hearing, "Bo Yan, you actually fell for Yuran’s tricks, what should I even say to you? What about your integrity?"
And Yuran, who had just opened the door, caught the last sentence, holding Bo Yan’s clothes in her hands, her eyes innocent as she looked at the two men, "What’s this about falling for my tricks? What about integrity?"
Seeing both of them, Xie Cheng grew even angrier, "Yuran, don’t play dumb with me, you know what I’m talking about."
Yuran looked sincerely at him, her face a mask of confusion, "I really don’t know what you’re talking about, say it again."
Xie Cheng clenched his teeth, "You’ve gone too far."
No, what was all this about? How had she gone too far?
Bo Yan knew the whole story but didn’t seem keen on explaining. He approached Yuran, took his clothes from her hands, and told her, "Don’t mind him, go do your thing, I’ll change and leave."
Yuran uttered an "Okay" and walked out.
Xie Cheng was so angry he didn’t want to say another word, yet unable to contain himself, he spoke again, "Bo Yan, you’ve really let yourself go."
Xie Cheng: "...How could you even ask that? I’m telling you, you’re getting on set today, do you hear me? No more getting entangled with Yuran."
