Bo Yan’s laughter was right beside her ear, making Yuran’s face flush a deep red.
After a moment, she lifted her head from his embrace, "So, will you tell me or not?"
Bo Yan nodded, "I will, what do you want to know?"
"Just, wasn’t it a celebration banquet you were attending? Why were you ambushed by reporters? And what’s the deal with the ambulance?"
Bo Yan led her to the living room and sat down on the couch before simply explaining the whole situation. Yuran’s brows furrowed slightly, "It looks more like a setup."
Yuran laughed with some schadenfreude, "Who asked you to be so lofty, an invincible loner at that? See, someone is trying to play the hero and take you down."
The little girl mocked him, yet surprisingly, she was in good spirits, her eyes smiling without a hint of worry.
He chuckled and raised an eyebrow, "So, you think I had it coming?"
Yuran shook her head, "Not really, would you do something without being sure of it? I think by now you have a good idea who’s been shooting arrows at your back."
Bo Yan found himself at a loss for words.
Having such a clever kid at home leaves no fun at all. He leaned back, looking at the back of the little girl’s head with a smile that was not quite a smile, "I thought I could gain some sympathy points by telling you this, and then, feeling sorry for me, you might just agree to liking me."
She realized that no matter what issue she was dealing with Bo Yan, the conversation would always end up tying back to the topic of liking him.
She turned her head helplessly to look at him, Bo Yan’s features sharp and striking, with slightly deep-set eyes and the corners slightly upturned, exuding a vivid and sly charm. His lips were thin, yet unexpectedly perfect in shape.
To fall for someone like Bo Yan was far too easy, not to mention the constant companionship, but his relentless pursuit alone was enough to sway one’s heart.
And she couldn’t feel that Bo Yan was toying with her emotions.
He was very serious and never spared his sincerity in front of her.

Thinking this, she muttered it out loud, Bo Yan didn’t pull away but laughed lowly, "Will you play the leading lady? A real-life, official type of idol drama? Legally, I’m up for that."
"You..." Yuran’s eyes widened in disbelief, "Can’t you live without flirting with me?"
Bo Yan nodded very seriously, "Feels like something’s missing."
Bo Yan suddenly got happier, feeling that in the short span of a little over two months since he liked Yuran, he had experienced more joy than in his entire twenty-some years combined. His eyes brimming with laughter, he looked at Yuran’s indignant face and his smile grew even wider.
He said, "Before I met you, I didn’t know I could like someone this much. Sorry for the inconvenience of liking you so much, without even getting your permission first."
