Yuran understood, "Huo Qi, I think, after all these years of no contact with him, you might find it even harder to let go; memories are vivid. If you contact him, you might just see the worst sides of this man."
The meaning was clear, but putting it into practice was difficult.
Huo Qi smiled but did not respond.
After a long pause, Huo Qi shared with Yuran the aspects that initially attracted him to Ao Chen as well as their final agreement when they were together.
But promises, as time passes, tend to fade; feelings cannot last forever, let alone just a promise, right?

Deep down, she hoped her teacher was not a man without principles, who would hurt Huo Qi simply from lack of love.

Yuran was somewhat confused, "If both of you still have feelings, why did my teacher still break up with you? Is he foolish?"
"Whether he is foolish I’m not sure, but I know he wanted me to bow and scrape, to agree with whatever he suggested, just because he proposed it."
"Actually, I’m more curious about who’s top and who’s bottom."
The air suddenly turned quiet, filled with awkwardness.
Even a composed person like Huo Qi almost bit his tongue. Yuran, realizing what she had asked, quickly coughed, "That, you don’t need to answer that, it was just a random thought."
Huo Qi eventually laughed, showing no signs of offense, "That kind of question, I won’t answer for you, it feels like an insult to you. It wouldn’t be good if Bo Yan came to settle scores with me."
Yuran still felt a bit awkward, "If, I mean if, if Ao Chen doesn’t want to continue writing songs for this movie?"
Huo Qi, "Then, he won’t get any royalties. It’s voluntary, free labor, why not use it if it’s free."
"Think I’m more malicious?"
Yuran: "Not really, it’s my teacher’s own doing, can’t blame you, I know."

When Yuran found Bo Yan, he was standing in front of a large tree.

Yuran walked up to him and stood beside him, "Yeah, Huo Qi told me a secret."
Bo Yan smiled, enveloping her in his arms, "Huo Qi and Ao Chen were together?"
Why did this man know everything?
Yuran felt utterly unimpressed, "Why do you even know about this kind of thing?"
Bo Yan laughed, kissed her on the face, "It’s not a big deal in New York circles. When has Ao Chen ever doted on someone like he did on Huo Qi? He’s one of a kind."
"Why did those two break up then? Ao Chen’s dog temper is unbearable, right?"
Bo Yan groaned, mildly surprised at her description of Ao Chen, and chuckled, "Ao Chen wouldn’t like to hear you say this. Might he want to come here and settle the score?"
Yuran disdainfully said, "Ao Chen even let down Huo Qi, such a good person. I think he’s not a good man."
"Baby, in matters of love, who can say who is the best? For Ao Chen, maybe Huo Qi wasn’t the best, the best might not suit him."
"But Huo Qi said, there were still feelings between him and Ao Chen, it’s just that Ao Chen is too proud."
