The subordinates breathed a sigh of relief.
Lu Xizhou entered the car and slammed the door shut. The Blonde Lady said menacingly, "I don’t care who you are, you’d better let us go now, or you’ll regret it."
Lu Xizhou looked at her nonchalantly and, unbeknownst to her, he was holding a dagger. The Blonde Lady wasn’t afraid at all and just stared at him, "Don’t try to scare people , we aren’t intimidated by such tactics."
Lu Xizhou responded, "Not intimidated by this tactic? There must be one you do respond to, though."
Suddenly, Lu Xizhou slashed down with the dagger, the sharp blade barely cutting into the woman’s carotid artery, just a bit, not enough to kill but enough to cause continuous bleeding.
The woman’s expression turned cold, not expecting Lu Xizhou to do such a thing. She dared not speak loudly because the cut was skillfully made, rendering her unable to move, effectively shackled.
Hate twisted her face.
Her male companion was also startled. Lu Xizhou looked at him, his attractive eyes slightly lifting, "What, do you want to try? Maybe you don’t, but perhaps you have something to tell me?"
The Blonde Lady glanced sideways at her companion and struggled to say, "No matter what you want to say, now is not the time, unless you no longer care about your future in this business."
Lu Xizhou clicked his tongue twice, "Do you believe I could ruin your status in this circle too?
How little you must think of me to speak Spanish in front of me. Speaking a couple of languages, are you impressed with yourselves?
Go ahead and speak what you think is an unobstructed conversation in front of me; to me, it’s pretty much the same."
Lu Xizhou, with his dagger pressed against the man’s carotid artery, spoke coldly as if he were looking at a dead man, "I don’t go easy on men, your partner stopped you from speaking because she saw that I hadn’t killed her immediately. How about you gamble with me to see if I would let you die in an instant without you having any value? Don’t worry, my methods are swift, you won’t feel any pain, and you can go peacefully."
The man’s expression was terrifyingly solemn.
Even as a man, the Blonde Lady’s complexion was exceptionally ugly; she lost all reason as the dagger in Lu Xizhou’s hand got closer to her. Suddenly, she pulled back sharply, trying to avoid his dagger.
Lu Xizhou raised an eyebrow and smiled, "It seems you are a smart man. So let’s start, speak now."
The Blonde Lady tried to stop him again.
Lu Xizhou stirred up discord, "You didn’t speak, yet you saved your life while your companion’s life is in peril. I gave him a chance, yet you still send your companion to his doom. My dear, forgive my bluntness, but do you have some intentions you can’t share with your companion, or do you not care if your companion dies, as long as you live?"
The Blonde Lady was furious, "Stop spouting nonsense here."
Lu Xizhou responded, "Oh really? That’s nonsense? Then I really should talk nonsense even more. Can you keep quiet? Do you actually think I mean not to kill women when I say so? Don’t you know what it means to go back on one’s word?
Killing one is killing, killing two is the same. Killing you and your companion doesn’t stress me at all; the law can’t punish me.
In a time of frequent shootings, who would care about a few more people disappearing? What if you liked hiking and just disappeared accidentally? That’s a possibility too.
Of course, those in your line of work don’t care about life or death. If they did, who would do this job, right?
But whether you care about life and death isn’t my concern. Whether I kill you or not depends on your connection to me."
The Blonde Lady was still furious, feeling that Lu Xizhou was too glib. She warned her companion angrily, "No matter what he says, you best not believe it."
