Ao Chen’s complexion turned from pale to red, "Jessica, do you believe that I can make it so you all won’t be able to eat hotpot in the future?"
Jessica didn’t want to become the villain and hurriedly waved her hands, "No, no, no, I was wrong, isn’t it enough that I admit my mistake?"

That was the blessing friends said the most that evening.
Ao Chen and Huo Qi, accepting those blessings, also had their happiest day.
Being in love and living together seemed to naturally fall into place. In the beginning, when they lived together, every day was a honeymoon period, harmonious beyond words. Although Ao Chen leaned towards traditional male chauvinism, he never demanded Huo Qi to like everything he did. Their personalities complemented each other, and before being together, Ao Chen thought he would grow tired of the relationship after some time, that’s why he hesitated to confess. However, after they became a couple, he found that they were incredibly compatible in every aspect.
They complemented each other in character, and were also very much in sync in bed. Although Huo Qi had tried to be on top, he was not successful.
Ao Chen even teased him about it, saying he was young but had a weak back, not suited to be on top, and should just obediently be the bottom.
Huo Qi was so annoyed it made his teeth itch. During Huo Qi’s schooling years, Ao Chen often picked him up. Huo Qi spent less time living at the school and more time learning in various drama groups, which certainly had to do with Ao Chen. Jessica would sometimes help as well.
Initially, Huo Qi just wanted to learn, considering that theoretical knowledge and actual practice were different.
Ao Chen indulged his little hobbies; whenever Huo Qi took a liking to something, Ao Chen would spare no expense or effort to ensure Huo Qi learned it to satisfaction. Even if there were no specialized institutions, he would find the most exceptional people in the industry to personally teach him.
So, up until Huo Qi broke up with Ao Chen, he was particularly grateful for everything Ao Chen had done for him. Holding onto Ao Chen was the least regretful decision he had made, even though Ao Chen did not hold on in the end.

While they were in love, they truly experienced sweetness and happiness.
The friends who witnessed their relationship could all say and believe this.
In Huo Qi’s third year of postgraduate studies, Ao Chen was very busy, barely touching the ground with his feet, but for Huo Qi’s graduation, he somehow managed to take two days off work to spend with Huo Qi, participating in gatherings with friends. Jessica often said, "I never imagined Ao Chen could be so devoted to one person, willing to pay any price; it’s quite rare, Huo Qi, you two must stay well together."
Allen also felt deeply, "When Ao Chen was dating others, he never cared this much. Huo Qi, to him, you’re a different existence. You must cherish each other well."
Their friends all hoped they would do well, and they indeed were happy for many years, but ultimately it still ended in a breakup.
When the memories abruptly stopped, Huo Qi could only give a wry smile. Ao Chen must have understood the implication of his words; if Ao Chen didn’t come for him, it meant Ao Chen indeed had let go of their past, and there was no need for them to see each other again.

Huo Qi was stunned, then burst into laughter, "Do you think I’m still the same Huo Qi you can boss around?"
"No, I’ve never intended to boss you around; you know that I’ve always wanted to give you the best, fearing even the slightest grievance for you. I can’t stand to see you get slighted, and even less to see you ignore me. You know me too well, so were you waiting for my apology?"
Huo Qi was startled, then smiled again, "So why are you here?"
