"What are you doing?"
"I’m making a bunny to give to Uncle Bo Qin."
Wen Xue seemed to remember that CEO Bo wasn’t born in the Year of the Rabbit and interjected, "I remember, Bo is not born in the Year of the Rabbit. Why are you making a bunny?"
The little girl defended her actions proudly, "But I am born in the Year of the Rabbit. Can’t I make a bunny for Uncle Bo Qin?"
Wen Xue was speechless, "Alright, you win."
It was unclear who had the bad luck, but in the dining hall, they once again ran into Hai En and others. Hai En, carrying a plate, bumped into the turning Jian Dan, who quickly apologized. The frown on Hai En’s face relaxed immediately.
"Miss Jian Dan, what a coincidence, we meet again?"
Jian Dan’s second apology stuck in her throat like a fishbone, unable to come out. Her impression of Hai En was really bad.

Hai En stood by her side, watching her pick out food and casually recommending a few tasty dishes. Jian Dan responded with polite distance.
Hai En was somewhat surprised by Jian Dan’s guardedness, but he wasn’t upset, instead finding it interesting.
When Wen Xue came out of the restroom, she saw Hai En standing next to their young Miss with a carefree demeanor. She hurried over to separate the two, "Young Master Hai, what a coincidence."
Despite feeling displeased inside, Hai En replied to Wen Xue with politeness, "Assistant Wen, what a coincidence."
Wen Xue didn’t know what the young man was thinking, but children from large families were never simple. Just consider how his sister had securely taken the CEO position of Haicheng Group and even contacted a partner like Bo Qin.
Was such a girl simple?
Wen Xue believed the simplest person she had ever seen was Jian Dan.
She was truly naive to worldly affairs, disliked going out, and preferred to stay at home drawing or listening to music.
Anything but going out.
And for that very reason, everyone tended to dote on her a little more.
"Young Master Hai, is there anything you need with our Miss?"
Wen Xue did not hope for Jian Dan to have too much contact with this young man. For the Bo family to get a share of the Haicheng pie wasn’t difficult but it wasn’t easy either.
And at this moment, Hai En’s arrival, wanting to get to know Jian Dan, was debatable.
Actually, Wen Xue’s thoughts were a bit excessive. Hai En had no access to the family business and had autonomy over his marriage choices. But his getting close to Jian Dan at such a time nevertheless seemed suspicious.
Jian Dan didn’t have so many complicated thoughts. She whispered the whole story into Wen Xue’s ear, which only solidified Wen Xue’s belief that Young Master Hai En might indeed have ulterior motives for getting close to their Miss.
If Hai En could read minds, he would definitely say you’re overthinking, almost paranoid.
But Wen Xue wouldn’t be foolish enough to say such things aloud.
Seeing Hai En looking at her with a half-smile, Wen Xue smiled back and pulled Jian Dan away in another direction, "Then, we’ll take our leave, Young Master Hai."
Hai En watched Jian Dan’s retreating figure and smiled sweetly.
All of this was briefly witnessed by Zhao Linlin, her hatred for Jian Dan growing like an unchecked blight spreading within.
Zhao Linlin’s friends tried to stand up for her, "I don’t know how that girl managed it, showing off."
"Linlin, surely your Young Master Hai won’t abandon you, will he?"
Obviously, they had all heard what Hai En had said earlier. Hai En had no interest in Zhao Linlin; his words were directed specifically at her. Zhao Linlin may have been naive, but she wasn’t foolish enough to be an object of universal disapproval.
She could still tell the difference.
She looked at her followers indifferently, "Since when do I need you to come up with strategies for me? If I follow your advice, guess what, do you think Hai En would have you arrested tomorrow? At that point, right or wrong wouldn’t be your concern anymore."
That friend turned pale, bowed her head to conceal the hatred in her eyes, and said, "It was just a joke, Linlin. Don’t take it seriously. I won’t dare anymore."
