His dive to the right had gone wrong as he needed to jump higher to be able to save the ball but he knew what to do even in that situation.
Just as the ball got closer and was about to fly past him, he raised his right hand just in time to push the ball over the bar.
'Nice save.' Catherine said.
He quickly got up from the floor to get ready for the next ball which had already been sent flying toward his goalpost.
The ball was sent flying through the middle and just as it hit the player, it deflected up toward the left side of the goalpost.
The ball wasn't moving that fast so all Dave needed to do was quickly make his way to and catch it and that was just what he did.
'You're getting better and better at this, two saves in a row, that's nice.' Catherine said.
"Yeah, and I guess it's time to go home now." He said before he threw the ball up and kicked it far toward the other side of the goalpost.
'Yeah, we'll continue tonight, you're getting better but you still have to continue practicing.
As soon as she said that, his body and everything around him began to disintegrate until he slowly opened his eyes to find himself back in his room.
'I hope so.' The goalkeeper replied before turning around to the other side of the bed to see that Emma wasn't there.
He quickly picked up his phone from where it was usually kept to see that the time was 6:17 AM.
"She got up earlier than me today." He muttered before sitting up on his bed. "That rarely happens."
He quickly changed into his sports outfit and running boots before he began to make his way downstairs.
He got downstairs to find Emma in the kitchen with the gas cooker on and something boiling on top of it.
"You decided to start your day early I see."
Emma quickly turned around to see him standing there.
"Yeah, I woke up and couldn't fall asleep again, you were still fast asleep so I had to come down here and start doing something." She said,
"When did you get up?" He asked.
"Oh, that was pretty early. Well, I have to head out now, but first." He said before he quickly got closer to her and kissed her. "Later." He said before quickly making his way out of the area and out of the house.
He decided to skip the hill climbing exercise today as he wanted to get home fast so instead of spending an hour and some minutes away from his house, it took him less than forty minutes to get back.
He didn't head toward the entrance to the house after getting back; rather, he made his way to the garage as there was something that needed unboxing in there.
He lifted the door to the garage open and as soon as the door was open, the first thing his eyes caught sight of was his old ball blaster before he slowly turned his gaze to the right to see his new hyper ball blaster which was yet to be unboxed.
He slowly made his way into the garage and turned on the lights before he slowly made his way to the new ball blaster which he didn't know what it looked like yet.
'Hope this will be just like Clark said.' He said subconsciously before he began to unbox the blaster.
It took him less than a minute to get everything off the blaster and reveal it.
It had its similarities to the old one like the long blaster mouth and the buttons at the back, but it also had its differences, a lot of them.
Unlike the old one, it had red outlines running around its edges and instead of having one ball-holding compartment, it had two at the back, one below and the other one a little above it which meant that it could hold more balls just like he had confirmed after opening both compartments.
"I need to get more balls." The goalkeeper said before he began to push the blaster out.
The hyper ball blaster was also heavier and proof of that was the way Dave was pushing it now, the reason for the increase in weight had to be the bigger battery which was meant to handle the hyper speed for a long period of time without dying.
After pushing out the blaster to the lawn and where he wanted it, the goalkeeper quickly made his way inside to bring the balls.
"Instead of eight, it's going to be able to hold sixteen balls now." He said after filling in all the balls in the compartment below.
He closed up the compartment before getting up to choose which level he was going to try out.
"Let's see how fast level one is going to be." He said before clicking the level one button and after that, he quickly clicked the start button.
After clicking the buttons, he quickly made his way to his goal line and quickly adjusted his gloves.
'There's no way it's going to be that fast.'
The first ball was quickly sent flying toward the left side of the goalpost toward the far corner.
Dave knew he wasn't going to get to it on time which was why he did something in the middle of his dive.
[ Ball magnet activated ]
The ball was about to slip past his gloves when it was caught by the influence of his level two ball magnet, the ball got pulled a little closer to the tip of his gloves for him to be able to push it out.
'That's just as fast as level six of the old blaster.' He said subconsciously after getting up from the floor.
The second ball was sent flying toward the right side of the goalpost with a little elevation but luckily it wasn't stretched far away from them so it wasn't hard for him to make the save.
The balls were fast given the fact they were being shot at a speed equivalent to that of the level six of the old blaster but now that Dave had figured that out, he was able to save all the balls after all he had already conquered level six in the old blaster.
After saving the last ball, he slowly got up from the ball and turned his gaze to the blaster.
'If level one is this fast, that means level two will be as fast as level seven and then the levels after that will be at speeds I have never experienced before.'
'Oh, yeah, I can't wait to try out all those levels, this is just what I wanted, this is just what I need to rapidly improve myself, the quests that will come from those tough levels will also be useful in improving myself. Thanks, Clark.'
