After sorting out the matters at the Sanda Club, Li Chen left Linchuan University and went directly to Lin’s Group.
Entering the lobby, he whistled at the receptionist. Seeing a shy smile appear on her face, Li Chen chuckled.
He took the elevator and then arrived in front of Lin Yi’s office.
Pushing open the door, Lin Yi was, as always, sitting there reviewing documents.
Hearing someone knock, Lin Yi said without lifting his head, "Come in."
Li Chen chuckled quietly and walked over.
Feeling a shadow beside him, Lin Yi looked up and saw Li Chen’s familiar smile. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Wasn’t this rascal the one who never knocked?
"What are you looking at?" Li Chen glanced over.
"Do you really care?" Lin Yi rolled his eyes, knowing full well that this guy came over whenever he felt like it. "Weren’t you accompanying Xiaoxiao to school this morning?"
Pretty wife sure knows a lot, huh?
Seeing Li Chen’s puzzled expression, Lin Yi said indifferently, "Aunt Wang told me."
"I did," Li Chen said, "And Xiaoxiao was so worried you would scold her that she even asked me to plead on her behalf."
Great, Li Chen just sold out his sister-in-law in the blink of an eye.
"Xiaoxiao really..." Lin Yi was speechless for a moment; his sister had taken advantage of his absence to throw a party—such a wild girl indeed.
"Pretty wife, Xiaoxiao is still young, after all," Li Chen said from the side.
Lin Yi nodded, "Right, has the new perfume been developed yet? I plan to pilot it in Beihe City, start with a promotion, and see how it goes."
"Wang Lei is speeding it up, should be soon I guess," Li Chen said.
"You’re the manager, why are you so unsure?" Lin Yi frowned slightly. "Have you been slacking off normally?"
"How could that be," Li Chen hurriedly chuckled, "I’m only responsible for overseeing the direction, the rest I leave to them. Have you ever seen a marshal leading the charge?"
"Don’t worry, pretty wife," Li Chen moved closer to whisper in Lin Yi’s ear, "The perfume will be developed, just relax, I’ll hurry them along when I get back."
You shouldn’t be saying I’ll personally take care of it, but just that you’ll hurry them along.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Lin Yi said.
The one who came in was Lin Yi’s secretary. She passed by Li Chen with a flicker of confusion in her heart—could it be that President Lin really married this man?
As a secretary, though, she quickly suppressed these thoughts.
Lin Yi, seeing the questioning look in his secretary’s eyes, sighed with relief internally; thankfully, he hadn’t been discovered. He resolved to not let this rascal cause any more trouble next time.
Li Chen, having not gained any advantage, could only head to the ninth floor’s perfume lab.
Upon arriving at the lab, Wang Lei and the others were finalizing the new perfume.
"Mr. Cheen, you’re here?" Wang Lei saw Li Chen come in.
"Has the perfume been developed?" Li Chen asked.
"We already have several samples, but I’m not quite satisfied with them yet. However, we should be able to produce a final product by tomorrow," Wang Lei said as he took out the samples for Li Chen to smell.
After taking a sniff, Li Chen said, "You should change the formula ratios."
After making the changes, Li Chen had Wang Lei try it again.
Meanwhile, Li Chen also saw Wang Qianqian in the lab. Since there wasn’t much to do in her own lab, he had transferred her here.
Moreover, Wang Qianqian had a natural talent for perfume, so she adapted quite well here.
Wang Qianqian was focused on making perfume, but the sudden voice made her jump, causing the test tube to drop from her hand.
Just as it was about to hit the floor, a hand appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the test tube.

"Carry on," Li Chen smiled slightly.

Seeing that Wang Qianqian’s ankle above her high heels was red, it seemed she had twisted her foot.
Carefully, Li Chen took off Wang Qianqian’s high heels, then placed his hands gently on her foot and began to massage it.
"Qianqian, how can you be so careless?" Li Chen teased, guessing the girl probably wasn’t used to high heels, which led to her injury.
Wang Qianqian blushed, but she felt the pain in her foot gradually disappearing under Li Chen’s hands.
After massaging for a while, Wang Qianqian’s injury seemed temporarily relieved.
"Qianqian, I’ll take you home," Li Chen helped Wang Qianqian up and headed outside.
"Brother Cheen," Wang Qianqian, though shy, tried to struggle but failing to free herself, let Li Chen support her.
"Don’t move around, Qianqian, or I’ll have to carry you," Li Chen huffed with a laugh.
Wang Qianqian’s face turned red. Really, Brother Cheen, they were still in the lab.
Supporting Wang Qianqian out of the company, Li Chen then hailed a taxi and helped her get in.
All the way, enjoying a little more of Wang Qianqian’s unintentional flirting, Li Chen felt time flying by, and soon, they were at Wang Qianqian’s residential complex.
After paying the fare, Li Chen got out and then opened the door.
"Come on, I’ll carry you up."
