All these thoughts almost caused her to run a red light, but a quick brake saved her. Having waited at the traffic light, her mood stabilized somewhat and she dashed off in her car.
But when she got home, Qin Zhiyou still wasn’t there.
She felt a bit uneasy but didn’t want to ask, so after dinner, she decided to kill time by sitting in the living room and aimlessly watching TV. Not really paying attention, she had no idea what she had watched. It was time for her to sleep, without any choice, she headed upstairs.
She woke up in the morning after a somewhat light sleep, and Qin Zhiyou still hadn’t returned.

She had a nice breakfast, didn’t go to the office, instead headed straight to a new client’s place to do a field survey. As if to justify his excuse, his phone rang and he moved to the side to take the call. Lu Weixi naturally didn’t mind, until she heard the words “Hanhai”. It sounded like some stocks fell, he advised not to panic and clear the stocks yet.

No wonder Qin Zhiyou had been absent the past few days, it seemed that he indeed had some troubles. On her way back to the office after finishing the work, she was stopped at a red light next to an LED screen. It was flashing news about the recent safety incident, showing Qin Zhiyou in a black suit, with a stern expression. Xiaochen in the backseat reminded her, “Lu, the light’s green.”
Lu Weixi nodded and continued driving
When she got home that night, Qin Zhiyou still wasn’t there. The next day, he hadn’t returned either.
By the third day, Lu Weixi had gotten used to Qin Zhiyou not being at home.
