193 Sacrifice
The drug caused drowsiness, so did the antidote. Qiao Yue slept until noon the next day.
When she woke up, she realized that she wasn’t at home. The last thing she remembered was lying in Qiao Jing’s arms.
She got up and checked her clothes. She was still wearing yesterday’s clothes and because of the sweat, they were stuck to her body. She was sticky and dirty.
Qiao Jing probably hadn’t touched her.
Qiao Yue heaved a sigh of relief. She thought that her secret might have come out yesterday, but it was still hidden.
She found a pair of sweatpants and a white shirt in the closet.
In the closet were mostly Qiao Jing’s clothes.
Qiao Jing was taller than her, but she could hold up his clothes, barely.
Qiao Yue showered quickly, changed into fresh clothes and walked out of the bedroom.
Qiao Jing didn’t go to work. Instead, he sat at the dining table and worked on his laptop.
Qiao Jing glanced at Qiao Yue. She was wearing his white shirt and pants, which looked really loose on her.
She had deliberately rolled up her trousers, revealing her delicate ankles, which were as white and slender as lotus roots.
The image of their kiss from yesterday appeared in Qiao Jing’s mind. He turned his head away and said, “Lunch is ready. If we eat now, you can still make it to your afternoon classes.”
“I’m sorry, second brother. I’ve caused you trouble.” Qiao Yue said with a smile.
She quietly looked Qiao Jing up and down, trying to see if he had done anything out of line yesterday.
Qiao Jing’s expression was his usual. She couldn’t see anything different.

“Yes,” Qiao Jing nodded and closed his laptop.
On the dining table were plain porridge with simple side dishes.
That kind of medicine did some harm to the body, so Qiao Jing had specially asked someone to make something light and bring it to his private residence.
Qiao Yue picked up the bowl and took a sip. The vegetable porridge was sweet and delicious. It should be the cooking of the servants at home.
