Upon arriving at the Sea Clan Battlefield, Lu Yi found that the places they passed were nearly devoid of life. Many ancient cities had been destroyed, reduced to ruins, and numerous towns were completely razed to the ground.
The air was heavy with a somber and oppressive atmosphere.
“We have now entered the Sea Clan Battlefield, so let’s all be a little more cautious,” Wang Beifeng said earnestly.
The other cultivators nodded in agreement.
Even Lu Yi and Yun Xi grew more solemn than before.
“We’re about three days’ journey from Feiyun Stream where the White Cloud Sect cultivators frequently appear,” Wang Beifeng reminded them. “Let’s be cautious until we meet up with them; let’s try not to cause any unnecessary trouble before then.”
Hearing this, all cultivators nodded in understanding.
The group continued on their way and, before long, Lu Yi’s eyebrows raised as he looked to the right, sensing several strong presences. These were distinct from the aura of ordinary cultivators, likely belonging to Sea Clan Cultivators.
Yun Xi also noticed something and glanced in that direction.
A while later, Wang Beifeng and the rest of the Nascent Soul Cultivators became aware of it as well.
All the cultivators were startled and looked in the direction of the presences.
“That aura…is it from the Sea Clan?” a young man said, “Should we go have a look?”
This young man named Lin Ming was only a little over three hundred years old but had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm. He was undoubtedly a talented genius, even without the backing of a sect.
If Lin Ming were to join a sect, his talents would place him among the top geniuses in the White Cloud Sect, not much inferior to the likes of Nangong Moyu, Xie Tianming, and Wang Tianzun.
Hearing this, everyone turned to Wang Beifeng.

They flew toward that direction.
Soon, the group arrived at the source of the auras, which was a dense, wooded valley. Within the valley were simple huts made of trees and thatched grass, forming a small village.
Four men in the Nascent Soul Realm were floating in the air; the leader had an elder floating in front of him.
The elder’s face was pale, and he struggled ceaselessly.
The four men laughed loudly, seemingly very pleased with the elder’s reaction.
Below them, numerous mortals watched the four in the sky with faces filled with terror.
Not far away, there were some corpses and blood scattered across the ground.
“Hahaha, nothing beats the screaming of these ants,” the leading man said jubilantly, giving an abrupt squeeze, and the elder’s body cracked, eliciting rounds of excruciating screams.

As Lu Yi and his group arrived, they witnessed this scene and their expressions grew grim.
“Damn the Sea Clan! Daring to strut around our Eastern Domain, bullying our Human Clan!” Lin Ming was full of murderous intent as he watched the four Sea Clan Cultivators intently.
The others were equally furious.
“Don’t act rashly!” Wang Beifeng hastily held him back, whispering, “The Sea Clan always moves in groups. With only four Nascent Soul Cultivators here, there must be others nearby. Considering the proximity to the border battlefield, there might be a large Sea Clan force undertaking a major operation.”
On hearing this, Lin Yue and the others’ expressions changed slightly.
The elder had been tortured for quite some time and appeared very weak, but there was no fear on his face, only anger and hatred: “May the heavens curse the Sea Clan, you’ve ruined our families; you will not die well!”

The Sea Clan Cultivator then applied more pressure, causing the elder’s bones to make another sound as he screamed in agony.
The Sea Clan Cultivators watched with mocking enjoyment as the elder struggled, as if watching a delightful play.
The words of the Sea Clan Cultivators filled the distant cultivators with even greater rage.
